I have started creating a Login Template (login screen) and a normal Site Template for Elxis, under the 2006.4 environment.
My question is: Will it be compatible with the new Elxis versions? Or will i face problems?

Yes, no problem. Everything will be compatible but each one must do a mass upgrade in his site. Many files change.

I'm creating those templates, to share them from elxis.org not for personal use.

each one = each Elxis site administrator.
Only for the administration templates may be some differences.
Our efforts are to never break compatibility of addons with previous Elxis releases. Even if the new release supports more features old addons will still be functional. Specially for the Frontend templates and the login screens nothing change.
Notice:
We want to build a new template for the Elxis frontend, backend and new login screen for the 2007 version. If anyone wants to contribute in this we will be very grateful to him. These templates must not be published before the 2007 release (they will be included in the new version's package). So, if you want to contribute in the Elxis project build a frontend template or a login screen and send it to us. It is an opportunity for your name to be written in the gold Elxis history! :D
If there are many participations you will vote for the best template!

* Working on a Login Screen and one Frontend Template (maybe two). Not going to work on an Administration template. I like the ones in the current Elxis version.
What month do you believe, v.2007 will be released? June?
