Title: IOSR: Automatically book when room status is "normal"
Post by: mscrivo on August 14, 2015, 22:03:18
Is it possible to configure IOS Reservations to automatically accept bookings when the room status is set to "normal" without having to have a hotelier process the booking?  What we're finding is that people often go book somewhere else because they are impatient in waiting for a hotelier to approve their booking.

Thanks

The reservation gets automatically confirmed after an online successful payment. If no payment occurs then the hotelier must manually confirm the reservation to avoid fake reservations.

I can understand what mscrivo is trying to say.

Example:
The guest make a booking with booking.com (with or without credit card guerentee and prepayment) but the booking is directly fully confirmed, so that the guest don`t need to wait for a "reconfirmation" of the hotel. So maybe it would be good idea to offer the same "service", otherwise it is quite hard to fight against the big players...

Maybe something for an update or an extra possibility to mark it on or of in the administration of every hotel...

And against Fake-Reservations, you can use Credit Card offline module. So that the Hotelowner gets a Credit card he can check (if he like) if the card is correct or not. Same with booking.com you get a booking and need to check the details by your own, but the guest have his fully confimred booking. In case that the credit card is wrong the hotelowner can send a message to booking.com to inform the guest about the problem, if the problem with the card is not solved within 24 hours the booking is automatic cancelled.

I think this "option" should be a good update :)
