9 extensions from the IOSR Hotels v2.0 package were released today. With the IOSR Login module the released extensions till now are 10. For most of them you need IOSR Hotels v2.0 to use them which has not been released yet. So please be patient and wait a few more days. Also module Kylisis from the IOSR Core package updated to version 1.1 to provide support to Hotels v2.0. The released extensions are the following.

The long waiting new version 2.0 of IOSR Hotels online booking system is now available to v1.x customers as a free update. IOS customers can download the new version directly from their IOSR control panel (section Updates). If you are going to perform an update from v1.x please READ CAREFULLY the instructions given in the user manual before you proceed. Soon version 2.0 will be available for online purchase for new customers.

so far i found one bug, when displaying rates
i had set the current into USD, but on booking button display as EURO

I'm reading user manual in commission section I had a question.
Does IOS Hotel v2 support "no commission" and allow to pay directly to hotelier ?

@metee All payment methods can be configured separately for each hotel. It is fully flexible to set who will receive the payments. More over you can set the surety fee as an absolute amount or as a percentage (0-100) of the total reservation cost.

The IOSR demo site (http://iosr4.isopensource2.com) updated and now runs IOSR Hotels v2.x
There is also a demo of the Reservation plugin (http://iosr4.isopensource2.com/hotels-api-demo.html) that makes use of the IOSR Hotels XML/JSON API.
The demo site is available in English and Greek languages. The administration section is available in more languages.

I don't see any problem. The maps are working fine in Firefox and Chrome. I just test it in your site.

I tried iosr APi standalone.
some problems.
"require_once ('iosrapiclient / client.class.php');"
but the folder is iosrclient.
Anyway, after renamed iosrapiclient in iosrclient, the system only book the first room.
there is only 1 room, but i can see and book 5 rooms.
if you try to book second room in the list: “Error (ERROR36), No rooms to book”

@peppemania: You are absolutely right. I already fixed it and I will release an updated version soon. To fix it in your site do the following.
Open file components/com_reservations/ext/hotels/controllers/api.php
Go to line 807
Change this:
if (!isset($_POST[$roomidx])) { break; }
to this:
if (!isset($_POST[$roomidx])) { continue; }
Save the file and you are ready.

Edit: I just updated IOSR Hotels package. In order not to modify original files and have license issues re-download IOSR Hotels v2.0 and update these 2 files:
hotels.iosr.php
controllers/api.php
Later today I will fix the demo site too.

@wieyoga: I don't see such a problem. I guess you use the old search engine for IOSR Hotels v1.x. Update engine hotels to version 2.0

It is not a booking issue, you can't actually book the rooms, it is a javascript issue.
Please do the following to solve the problem.
Open this file:
components/com_reservations/ext/hotels/includes/hotels.js
Go to line 230:
if (numrooms > maxrooms) { val = maxrooms; }
Change it to:
if (numrooms > maxrooms) { numrooms = maxrooms; }
Go to line 233:
if (numrooms > 4) { return; } //max rooms 5 reached
Add below:
if (numrooms >= maxrooms) { return; } //max available rooms reached
Save the file and you are ready. Hit control+F5 in your browser to refresh its cache.
Note that the same fix must be done on file ioshclient.js for those use the plugins or the standalone script for the API.

Yes, this is already supported! The related setting is per hotel, so it is absolutely flexible.
Hotels > Click to edit a hotel > Tab "Details" > Field-set "Reviews" > Review prompt = Yes/No

This is Qazi.
today i happen to see that my system is not showing the hotel name in url instead it displays hotel1 ..hotel2 ...hotel3 so on. While as it should have been the hotel name itself for a better SEO friendly url.
attached are two files one from my system and other from booking.com both are screen shots of url once we click on any given hotel.

Before you update from v1 to v2 read the f...ing manual!
v2 supports SEO titles for hotels. During update it converts old urls "location/45.html" to "location/hotel45.html". You can afterwards edit the hotyel and change the seo title to whatever you want.

i don't know why, but API plugin not work for me.
"Could not check availability! Invalid response."
i tried width standalone plugin in php site, elxis plugin in elxis client site, elxis plugin in server site.
Same result "Could not check availability! Invalid response."
The first version worked width a little error, but the last version nothing.
delete plugin, refresh, delete api, refresh, api normal, super api ... nothing same result :-\

I can check it to see what is the problem. You can send me, if you want, a personal message or an email with FTP access information for both sites (server and client).
NEVER RE-INSTALL IOS RESERVATIONS OR ANY EXTENSION. RE-INSTALL WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM.
Such problems almost never get caused by the software. The most usual cause is the server enviroment. In your case the first thing you should check is if the integration settings are correct (READ CAREFULLY THE MANUAL) and calls to IOSR server inner.php file are working.
API clients request the IOSR server like this:
http://www.example.com/inner.php/reservations/hotels/api/countryinfo
A multi-lingual call is like this (for Italian language):
http://www.example.com/inner.php/it/reservations/hotels/api/countryinfo
If the language does not exist, or the URL doesnot exist, or it is blocked, or anything similar, you will get a page 404 error and an "invalid response" on the booking form.

It is normal the API to reply with "Authorization failed" because you dont call the API like that, I just wrote you the endpoint URL. You must get authorized first in order to get a valid response.

@peppemania : I found the problem in your case. It is the hotel's title! It contains an ampersand character (B&B) in an non-XML compatible form. The API uses XML for the communication between server and client. The document must be valid in order PHP to parse it. The correct way to write & in XML is & (using html entities). But it is no good to do so for title elements as title is plain text and not html. I suggest you to write the hotel title as BB or B and B.

datahell, is it possible to configure the charge type's? It's per room or per person right now, but my client was wondering if they could expand that to have "per unit" or "per apartment" to avoid confusion when booking non-rooms. As a stop gap, I've change the text from "per room" to "per room/unit".

Yes, you can edit the language files and change "room" to whatever you want.

i have one location.
this is the message after search from module with drop down list:
"Pick the destination of your choice, set your desired check-in and check-out dates and your rooms preferences to get the available hotels. If you don't get any results set more generic criteria or click to one of the recommended destinations."
You have only one location... OK I know why this happens. Please wait up to 1 day for a newer version to fix this problem.
Same problem in new version.
in my case, only one location, no sense set "state - region - city". into search form module appears Region.
no sense to use ajax form and write each time the name of the city.
I tried to set the locations with "state - city". into search form module appears City that it's ok but error: no hotel found.
You can fix this problem in module search hotel? Not urgent, but boring :P

The hotel search module has a parameter to select if you want to select location by using AJAX or with a drop down list.

yes i know but with drop down list the module has problems with only 1 location. the advanced search in iosr have a problem too.

@wieyoga: The availability calendar button is for a specific room. If you get a "no rooms found" message then for which room to display a button for the availability calendar? For all rooms? And if you have 20 rooms you will display 20 buttons?
@peppemania: This is something I wanted to do in IOSR Hotels version 2.0 but in order not to delay v2.0 release even more I left it for the next IOSR Hotels update (v2.1).

easy to change availability status and to keep everything under control. Many print that page.
@wieyoga: calendar availability button is a nice idea, for me, to suggest alternative dates to the tourists.
The new hotel's rooms calendar could be a basic idea to implement this feature, is a nice layout width only empty and full date, of course no other options.

People mostly contact me for problems, compliments are much better :D
IOS Reservations Hotels is the BEST, by far, booking software available for its money. I challenge anyone to find a better one that costs as much as IOSR does. Others sell just 1 payment method for 150 EUR, and IOSR has 10 payment methods pre-installed. IOSR is better than other software that costs 10 times more!

I write some things that might help you solve the problem.
1. Reviews prompt notifications are sent only once per day for the reservations had check-out the day before. So today (July 23) will send notifications for reservations with checkout date July 22.
2. Reviews prompt must be enabled for the specific hotel and the hotel must be published.
3. Reviews prompt works only for reservations made by site's guests. Not for reservations made via the XML/JSON API or the reservations made by the hotelier/admin from their control panels (offline reservations).
4. The site must be online and open to site visitors. Notifications are triggered by site's guests. If a site has 0 guests no notifications will be send.

I have nothing else to say except from the 4 things I wrote before. If anyone has problem with it send me access to Elxis administration console and FTP access to do some tests. For me the feature is tested and works fine but there might be something wrong I haven't noticed. We are mistakes and we do people ;D

To see the updates your IOSR installation must be original. Restore the original files and re-try

@jorgenunes: I just check IOSR Hotels review notification functionality at your site. The system works perfect. To test it I did the following:
I created a new booking and then changed the date in the past so that the checkout date is yesterday.
I went to the IOSR Hotels frontpage and did 1 click. That click triggered the system and a notification email was sent to my email to review the hotel. I attach screenshots from the email I received and from your site.
Read my previous post with the 4 notes regarding how reviews notifications work. I don't see anything bad, reviews notifications works fine.

Hi guys,
Don't know if this is a bug or something I can fix myself. The problem is when I add a discount for children in the system (price per person), when you try to book ahead, for example 1 month from now, the system does not calculate correct the discount for children,and sometime instead of add the children price (with discount) it takes down the price, or calculate a wrong discount.
Example, room cost $100 (for firs person), children discount 50% off - Easy calculation: 1 Room - 1 adult + 1 children == $150 (no other discount applied on this room rate)
If I book today this rate works perfectly, but if I book this room for later (like 1 month from today) the system shows $125 (remember, I'm not using any other discounts for this room)
This happens all the time, tried different discount percentages for children, new room, change the price for first person, etc.

I believe there is something wrong in your prices. Have you enabled different prices per person? Because the price for 1 person is 100 but for 2 persons is 110.

Hello, but as I understood on the manual it takes the price of the first person and apply the discount on that amount to calculate children discount. Is that correct?
It doesn't matter about the second person, since I'm booking 1 adult and 1 child, and the result is different depending on dates... even if the price is the same for whole year in that room.

IOSR Hotels does the calculations correctly, you haven't understand how it works.
Since IOSR Hotels v2.0 you can set the prices depending on the number of rooms or persons they are going to stay at the room(s). There is an upper limit of 6 different prices for each entry. Consider the following scenario:
Price for 1 person: 100 EUR
Price for 2 persons: 180 EUR
Price for 3 persons: 240 EUR
Price for 4, 5, 6 persons: No info
Room is charged per person and children discount is 50%.
1. If 1 adult book the room he will pay: 100 EUR
2. If 2 adults book the room he will pay: 180 EUR
3. If 1 adult and 1 child book the room then we have:
price per person: 180 / 2 = 90 EUR
Adult price: 90
Child price: 90/2 = 45 (50% discount)
1 adult and 1 child price = 90 + 45 = 135 EUR.
3. If 3 adults book the room he will pay: 240 EUR
4. If 4 or more adults book the room then as the price for 4 adults isn't defined IOSR will get the last defined price (in this case for 3 persons) to calculate the per person price and then multiple it with the quantity of persons:
price per person: 240/3 = 80 EUR
So for 4 adults : 80 x 4 = 320 EUR
for 5 adults: 80 x 5 = 400 EUR
for 3 adults and 2 children: 3 x 80 + 2 x (80/2) = 320 EUR
Got it?
If price for more than 1 room/person confuses you then set the price just for 1 person/room. Only that price is required, the rest are optional.

I use Reservation API. When searching for rooms on a certain date there is no way to see all the pictures of the rooms:

The API supports unlimited images. It gets all the images from IOSR but the built-in plugins I developed have no gallery ability and so they display only one image.

When you cancel a reservation the reservation gets deleted, so it has no meaning to display "canceled" or "no show".

In many cases the extra bed for child is free, but the system does not accept value 0.

Extra services are only paid services. If you provide something for free you can just write it in hotel/room description area. Guests will know that you provide this service and ask for it when they visit the hotel.

I tried iosr API for joomla (live site). It works for 2 or 3 times, after "Request failed!".
I tried it on various sites with joomla several servers, but same problem. it works for the first 2 or 3 times, after "Request failed!".
I tested locally with the same settings (no cache, no compress js etc..) and it works great always.

The URL and other connection parameters must be exactly as the configuration files, else API client-server authorization will fail.

Yes if it is marked as Super API. In this case in the implementation code you must provide the hotel id (hid) for which you want to display the booking form. You can do that even dynamically with javascript. The booking form always checks the availability of the given hotel.

Your copy of IOS Reservations must be original in order to access IOS RC and download updates. Restore IOSR original files and try again. If the problem persists contact me via e-mail to send you the update patch (inform me the version you currently use).

No, this is a custom requirement and I don't see the reason for doing so. You can do that by developing a special plugin or module.

OK thanks! The reason is that there are still so many "hoteliers" that are not ready or capable to manage their availability calendar!
Another question about Joomla API integrator, do you know that room "pop-up" photo slideshow is not working?
Is there a way to find solution here or i need to check it on joomla developer forum?

@wieyoga: I dont see a reason for doing so. You already have their personal details as they submit them on booking. Why to make them register by force to get a special discount? This would only have a meaning if they were in a special user group (assigned manually by admin, eg "golder members") or if they had a discount coupon.
@MG01: There is no official support by me for Joomla, Wordpress, or other CMSs except Elxis. Also do you have the latest version installed? The integration plugins for the API updated lately. The popup/lightbox should work on any CMS, if this does not happen then either the integration is not correct (eg javascript header files are missing), or there is a javascript conflict with an other js library used in the site (even with 2 different versions of the same js library like jQuery). For Elxis CMS the integration is fully automatic and works perfect as there is no way of javascript conflicts in Elxis (Elxis uses singleton like functions that make sure each library is loaded only once). For other CMSs the integration requires user action (read the documentation) and js conflicts are possible.

Is there a way I can use a price box for children instead of the percentage drop down menu?
Most of the hotels works with a flat price for children here, will be very useful that I can just put the price for children in a text box instead of the percentage, for my hotelliers is very confusing.
Or have both options. Is there a way I can switch this?

Fixed amount for children discount will not work so well as the room price depends on seasons.
2 new important features are coming in version 2.1:
a. Discount coupons (generated coupon are issued for specific hotel, or for all location hotels, or for all hotelier hotels and for all hotels)
b. Full amount discount (pay reduced total amount instead of just the surety fee)

Understand, but my question is if there a chance I can put the price in children instead of percentage. This way most of the Hotels will put the price once a year per children, for example certain hotel charge $25 per kid, this way the system will add the $25 per kid + stay days.

I have some features to ask for the new version, please.
- Some of us have been demanding for years a simple feature you are always against, I understad your point of view but IOSR is simply useless in some countries due to this restriction. I´m speaking about Automatic cancelations without the hotelier has to confirm them. I know it is something that can bring problems and it can be a headache for hoteliers if they don´t plan very well their "days before cancelation"... but you should let us choose. This feature should be in the system for those of us who need it.
- I think it is also a must to restrict the number of rooms that can be booked at the same time.
I have some other ideas I would like very much to see in IOSR but, at this time, I will be happy with being able to use the software with this two features.
Just one little thing more, I don´t like the new way of selecting rooms (I attach capture), isn´t a way to get the old one with select?
Anyway the software is really awesome and also the support.

I disagree with the automatic cancellation but I can add it as an option for those want to use it like that. I will see if I can implement it in the upcoming IOSR Hotels upgraded release.
The way of picking rooms/guests designed like that for better user experience with touch devices.

Suggestion
It is possible to define the type of room beyond the capacity of the room for adults if the room supports extra bed or not.
1 double room is for 2 people, but an extra bed for children can be requested.
The limit on the price listed is for 2 adults but by the additional service can be ordered extra bed.
When you put 2 adults + 1 child, the system will let you book with add-on extra bed

I understand the problem but this cannot be done with extra beds as a service because service they don't contain such information and system doesn't know what each service is.

An affiliates tracking system just added in IOSR Hotels v2.1. You can link from other sites to IOSR Hotels pages and use a special parameter in link containing a tracking code. If the visitor makes a reservation this tracking code will be saved with the reservation. This way you can distinguish reservations that came from a certain site/affiliate.

I have an issue with emails sending that perhaps you can fix in the upcoming release.
I know it is not a bug but I think it is something that can be improved...
Now, when a new booking is made by the customer, emails for reservation are sent BEFORE the payment is really made, so, hoteliers get the email but perhaps the payment will never be done. The booking can be automatically canceled after some days (I would prefer some hours or minutes) but it creates confusion and the hotelier is bothered with no reason.
I supposed this way of working has been thought for hoteliers that need to confirm every booking, but for most of them (those using just autoconfirm methods) it is a problem...
The ideal scenario for me would be the emails (fax and so on) to be sent after the payment and not before.
Could you please add a switch to choose sending the emails before or after the payment, please?

The booking is separated from the payment.
When you make a reservation you immediately get the notification email before the customer pays because he might never pay and you must get informed that there is a new reservation. When he finally makes the payment you get informed by a second email not by the booking process but by the payment module.
So the procedure is like this:
1. New reservation -> Email to admin/hotelier/customer
2. Payment -> Reservation status changes, email to person responsible (configurable, depends on the payment method)
After payment the reservation status has been change, you can see the PDF again or use the track url to see the updated status.
Note: IOSR Hotels v2.2 is ready and will become available soon!

I understand, but what about if hotelier is only interested in paid reservations and the system has been set to delete automatically not paid bookings after 1 day to get that?
I also would like a way to limit the number of rooms a customer can book in one booking proccess or being able to set automatic cancelations in minutes. Imagine someone books 20 rooms and never pay... hoteliers can´t be checking all day and if this happens lots of rooms of the hotel will be unbookable for other people...
My idea is to get a more automatic system, bothering the hotelier as less as possible and focusing in sales.

I would like to be able to leave messages like "You will get an email with your invoice on monday 11" and it would be very easy with a content module... perhaps you can add a inside module also, like in hotel and location pages...

I know I´m for sure asking too many improvements lately but if you have some time I would love to have an hotel heading like the one I attach (with thumbnails and beautiful transitions) from bookingarab, that I think is a custom job.
I have tried hidding the hotel heading with css and using iosslider in iosh_hotel position instead (althoug it only shows bullets), but I can only show the first picture, of course.
I think it wouldn´t be very hard to hack iosslider to get what I need, could you please tell me how?

@wieyoga: Are you sure? I think that the visitor will be confused if the currency change from page to page without the user to change it. Also the currency change is a way to make the site more familiar to foreign visitors. If I, for example, want to visit India I dont want to show the prices in Rupiahs because I will not understand how much I have to pay. I want to display them into EUR regardless destination. The same for a visitors from India that wants to visit London. Isn't it more familiar to him to see prices in Rupiahs than GBP?

the currency is not change every page but change base on web visitor location or may based on IP ( I'm not sure the mechanism )
Example
if somebody want to visit India & their base country in Europe the system will automatic detect it as EURO.
if somebody want to visit Australian & their base country in Indonesian the system will automatic detect it as Rupiah.
when they book n Pay using they currency based country
on the back-end the system will calculate it based on default currency

Version v2.2 development is finalized many days ago. I can't re-open it now because it must be released. Some of the things you requested here are interesting and I will try to add them on a next release (2.3).
@jorgenunes: I believe error 404 pages should be clear, page not found message, no redirections.
@juanon: The version is ready, I wait for the final approval by the customer (most of the changes were ordered and paid by a specific customer, you get these new features for free). I believe it will be released in 2-3 days max.
@fbookin, @wieyoga: I can't do such changes now in IOSR Hotels v2.2. You can do them for your sites by yourselves. It is easy, I can tell you how if you open an other topic.

As I said version 2.2 development paid by a specific customer and contains features he asked for. I found the opportunity to implement some other features like the charts in v2.2 (some people requested this). You have posted some interesting ideas and I will try to implement them in the next release v2.3. I tried to implement some other features you asked for like language switch or putting modules in hoteliers cp but I left them for a future release because they need more work than expected (for example you cant put modules in hoteliers CP because it is an inner.php page, so I must find an other solution to bypass this limitation and this needs time).
@juanon: I have already answered to this request regarding auto-delete of bookings and I have said that I find it a bad idea (deleting a reservation leaves no data on the system of what happened, what about returning surety fees, what about if some people use that just for fun?). But besides my personal opinion I can implement something like that, disabled by default and put an on/off switch for those want to enable such a mechanism.
Currently I work on Elxis 4.4, afterwards I will come back to IOSR Hotels. I also need to make some improvements on Open Shop in the meanwhile.

Use the auto-cancel after X days feature till then. It will behave almost the same. If you set X to, for example, 3 days then if the hotelier hasn't confirmed (checked) the reservation within 3 days it will be deleted automatically.

Is a good idea, but I think the discount coupon also should be applied to a selected room in certain days. Most of the time the discounts are not for the entire property, this discount coupons are almost the same option we already have for Tour Operators.
The option to select amount or percentage in "discount coupons" is a great idea for children prices. This should be also be in options since most of the hotels have a flat rate for children, so if you can choose between % or amount will be great.

@wieyoga IDR currency has no decimal digits in prices because the exchange rate for IDR is big (1:13500 for USD) and you will end up with longer numbers (hard to display on screen) and digits of no importance. IOSR formats IDR prices correctly, no change is required.
If you want to change that (not recommended) do the following:
Open file components/com_reservations/includes/currency.class.php
go to line 73 and set the value for the decimals option
'IDR' => array('name' => 'Indonesia, Rupiahs', 'symbol' => 'Rp', 'decimals' => 0),
If you set decimals to 2 for 2 US dollars you will have a number like this: 27000,00 why you need the decimal digits for such a low price, just to make the number larger?
As for the exchange rate in email it is not recommended because serious arguments and mis-understandings may rise by the client. The formal currency is the site's default. The customer pays in that currency. The exchange rate changes change continuously. If I make a booking now for 10 USD and 135.000 IDR the customer will say that it costs me 135.00 IDR which is correct ONLY FOR THE TIME OF BOOKING. After a day, and even worst after more days, the exchane rate may have changed dramatically and the 10 USD may have become 160.000 IDR. Which is the amount the customer will have to pay? 135.000 IDR or 160.000 IDR? Both answers are wrong! The correct answer is 10 USD. This is why on emails the prices are been displayed in site's default currency. In PDF receipt the exchange rate is been displayed only in total and surety fee prices after user requests although I don't agree with that for the reason I analyzed previously.

@jorgenunes : I can't check it because I don't have a mac. The specific element is a standard drop down box, nothing special. What you mean by saying it doesn't work? If it works with other browsers on mac and also works with firefox on windows/linux then it is an issue related to firefox on mac. In this case there are not much to do. I could find a bypass to the problem (if there is a problem) if I had a mac computer and be able to test it.

There are no IOSR accounts, user login is managed by Elxis. Please post messages in the proper category/thread.
Elxis stores errors in error.log (repository/logs/) if you have log enabled in Elxis administration.

I have also notice a problem with AJAX logout and mobile devices. For PC browsers it works fine. I will check it soon, it is a Chloe issue, nothing to do with IOSR and Elxis.

Regarding next IOSRhotels version I´m waiting so bad I want to remind you about my need of a "non bother the hotelier, please" option ;)
- I need autocancelation if the customer ask for it (and he is in time, of course), without hotelier intervention. Perhaps a register can be written in logs to mark that.
- I need the reservations not paid to autocancel in 5-10 min (Now it is only working with full days).
- So it will be great that a user can book a maximum number of rooms in one single operation.
- I think emails shoud be sent after payment only... you have explained how the system works but I think it is something strange, mate. Booking and appointment scripts I have worked with of course do a "temporal reservation" during the booking process but items are not really booked and emails are not sent till the user makes the payment or choose a non online payment like bank transfer and confirm.
These are the features I need so bad to start my business and for whom I´m waiting for. I will be a happy man just with that!!
Besides I have some other ideas (some of them taken from other users in this forum) and, I do insist, for me are not so important. Anyway I left them here:
- A beautiful slider with images and transitions in hotel pages, similar to iosslider or this one: http://bookingarab.com/reservations/hotels/makkah/38.html
- Logo field and banner field for each hotel to show a logo and a banner for offers/deals. They will be shown in hotel page if the hotelier want to and they can be changed anytime they need.
- Filter also for room features in location pages.
- Strikethrough prices with new ones and "only x rooms left" messages also in location pages. I think it is much better for marketing.
- Show a module in hotelier panel to leave notes, or even better personal messages between hoteliers and admin.
- Hotelier login panel homepage could be customizable to show rooms calendar (of the first hotel if he has more than one), charts, and so on. Hotels I know prefer to see rooms calendar always...
- Google Map with All hotels also in a flexible destination.
- Pictures for extras and a more flexible system. What about if I only have 5 bicycles to rent?
- Validation for user form fields.
- Price always visible in checkout page, autoscrolling it with javascript or something like that.
- Non refoundable and discounts per room and season not per hotel.
- Different prices for the same room with and without meals.
-... and the even more difficult, implementation for some channel manager like myallocator to bring in hotels used to work with booking.com and so on.
I know I´m asking for too much, please don´t say no to all of them :)
I still haven´t used IOSR hotels in a production site but I´m willing to pay again if you consider these features deserve a new big version.

I found a terribly bug in the Hotelliers admin section.
When a Hotellier inserts the Description in the main language it gets overwritten when you save other language. Same happens in the Terms & Conditions. Tested several times same result any time.
It does not occur in the admin section. Only when logged as hotellier.

The translations are handled by Elxis eTranslator not by IOSR. I will check it later and answer you. Which iosr/hotels/elxis version you have?

@judelgado : I can't reproduce the problem. For me it works fine. I also don't see anything wrong in the source code. The only way for something like that to happen is if you have switched the site's default language. In this case all translations you have inserted before the language switch will have problem because of language indexing inconsistency. Do this test on a new hotel.

I checked your online site and I found no problem. The translator works fine and each translation is saved for the proper language. Here is how to use the Elxis translator, maybe you work with it wrong.
1. Write the element (title, description, etc) in the default language. Click Apply button to save the whole item (article, hotel, category, room, etc) if it is a new item, else not needed.
2. Switch language from the language selector of the element. Write the text in the new language. When ready click the "Save" disk icon on the language selector of the element.
3. From the language selector switch back to the default language or to an other language to add a new translation.

Each template use its own module positions. In order to display top destination at the right
column of Chloe template at frontpage you should disable not only fronpage slider but also
frontpage top boxes. Finally publish the relative module to the left or right module position.

it yet.
Have you installed the relative module? If not then there is a relative zip file inside of
the package you've received when you bought IOSR Hotels software. Each interested
module should be extracted from this package and afterwords install it one by one by
uploading it to your Elxis CMS installation.

You try to install something else. A module package has a named like this mod_something_version.zip This is the package you must install.
Example IOSR Hotels modules

mod_iosr_hsearch_2.1.zip

I know I've posted a lot about this topic before, but I know there is something wrong when you add children to the calculation formula. I'm attaching screenshots to show my case.
For me, the IOSR only works using price_rates as PER_ROOM, since PER_PERSON is not functional for my purposes. Based on this, my rates are based in price per room. For example I put Price 1 = $100, Price 2 = $100 (since the price is the same for 1 or 2 persons in the same room) and Price 3 = $175 (3 persons in the same room will cost $175), I made this works for me. The big problem is when children appears, even put 100 percent discount in the hotel's discount tab.
If you add 1 adult 1 children the system is reducing the rate to $50 for 1 person (this is wrong since discount for children is 100%), no matter I do, the system is calculating children rate.
Question here, is there a way I can disable completely children discounts?, since is not working. I'm using hotel add-ons to include children since is the only option that works.
Please check the images. I put 100% discount for children in this hotel, and no matter what I put there always calculate the children discount.

First of all this topic was for IOSR Hotels v2.0 development. That period has passed so better stop posting in this topic and open a new topic for other questions.
@judelgado The price calculations are very well tested and should work fine. I cannot be 100% sure for anything in life so I give a 99,999% probability of the calculations to be correct and you to be wrong.
If you set rates per room then no guest based calculations are executed no matter if they are adults or children. So you are wrong from the beginning. Children discount takes affect ONLY on rooms having rates based on guests number. Also setting 1 room = 100$ and 2 room = 100$ is also a wrong setting except if you want to provide the second room/guest for free. I believe you don't want that.
For rates based on number of rooms price 1 is the price for 1 room, price 2 is the price for 2 rooms (not for the second room!), price 3 is the price for 3 rooms. So if price for 1 room is 100 and price for 2 rooms is 150 if I book 2 rooms I will pay 150$. (75$ per room). If price 3 is not supplied and I book 3 rooms then I will pay (150/2) x 3 = 225$ (75$ per room). These calculations are explained in the documentation (section 2.6.4 Price rates) and in price rates area.
The same happens for guest based rooms with the difference that you must replace number of rooms with number of guests. Especially for children then if children discount has been supplied then this discount also takes affect. So if price for 1 person is 100 and price for 2 persons is 150 if price 3 is not supplied then the price for 3 persons will be (150/2) x 3 = 225$ (75$ per person). If one the guests is a child and I have 50% discount for children the customer will pay 75 + 75 + 75/2 = 187,5$. If the children discount is 100% the customer will have to pay 75 + 75 + 0 = 150$.
The screenshots you posted shows that IOSR is correct and you think of it wrong. Price for 2 persons you say 100$. OK, so 50$ per person, right? If one of them is children and you provide 100% discount to children then how much you will have to pay? 50 + 0 = 50$. This is exactly what IOSR Hotels shows you and proves that the calculations are correct.

Based on you are not wrong and calculations are exact, how can I achieve that the children are free of charge? Based on the same example, 1 adult and 1 kid, will be $100 (since children are not paying). How can I do that?

It is wrong the way you said/thought of it. If you want 1 adult and 1 children to be 100$ (children not paying) then set only this:
Price for 1 person: 100
That's all!
If 1 adult visit the room he will pay 100 USD
If 2 adults visit the room they will pay 100+ 100 = 200
If 1 adult and 1 child visit the room they will pay 100 + 0 = 100
If 3 adults visit the room they will pay 100 + 100 + 100 = 300
If 2 adults and 1 child visit the room they will pay 100 + 100 + 0 = 200
If 1 adult and 2 children visit the room they will pay 100 + 0 + 0 = 100
If 1 adult and 3 children visit the room they will pay 100 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 100
If you want to provide a short of discount on the second guest (adult) you can provide price 2 less than 200, this will make price per person smaller in case of more than 1 persons. If for example you set price 2 = 180 then in case 2 adults visit the room they will pay 90USD each (180 in total) instead of 100USD each (200 in total). Children will still be 0. In this case the above examples will become:
If 1 adult visit the room he will pay 100 USD (as before!)
If 2 adults visit the room they will pay 90+ 90 = 180
If 1 adult and 1 child visit the room they will pay 90 + 0 = 90 (* see note 1)
If 3 adults visit the room they will pay 90 + 90 + 90 = 270
If 2 adults and 1 child visit the room they will pay 90 + 90 + 0 = 180
If 1 adult and 2 children visit the room they will pay 90 + 0 + 0 = 90
If 1 adult and 3 children visit the room they will pay 90 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 90
* note 1: Regardless if the child doesn't pay it is considered a second person so price 2 takes affect (90/person)

Just go to reservation menu and click the reservation that you want to send it
then click icon "Notify customer" on the above the reservation list than you did it ;D

You can do it without breaking any license by editing the language files.
Open for example the english language file of component IOS Reservations:
components/com_reservations/language/en.reservations.php
Find "CURRENCYFRONT" at the top of the file and change it to 1 if you want to display the currency in front of the amount or 0 if you want to display the currency after the amount. Do the same for any other language you use.
$_lang['CURRENCYFRONT'] = 1; //currency in front of amount, eg $200
$_lang['CURRENCYFRONT'] = 0; //currency after the amount, eg 200$
This setting is language specific because in some countries they put the currency symbol before the price and in some other after the price. In Greece for example we put the currency symbol after the price (200€).

The only good integration I have found in the past is with expedia/EAN and if i remember correctly it doesnt provide bookings (only info/pricing read here the hotel search api (http://developer.expedia.com/directory)). There are also many levels of integration. Some people think that an iframe of booking.com is an integration, I don't do such things. Also not all hotels are supported by each company. The whole thing is chaotic. There can be only custom solutions here. If you have detailed documentation and/or example for an API you want to integrate with send it to me to discuss it.

I see nothing related to what you ask at these sites. If you need an integration with your site and a booking site like booking.com, hotels.com, and similar provide me the documentation and describe me the exact integration type you need. The sites you show me don't provide bookings themselves. If you use a third party service for an indirect integration such as myallocator (https://www.myallocator.com) consider the high per hotel cost (50-60 EUR per hotel per month) and also note that such tools target on single hotels.
My opinion, after a lot of search, is that such an integration can be build only for a specific hotel and a specific channel manager. There is no a global plug-n-play integration. And even in this case the cost to retain the integration is very high.

Question regarding system: Hotels has this promotions all the time like 3x2 (pay 2 stay 3 nights). I tried to workaorund this, but the problem I'm facing is that I can limit minimum stay, but not maximum stay. ¿Is there a way I can limit the maximum stay per room?

You think of it wrong. If you put a maximum limitation then what if someone wants to stay 4 nights????
You can have the same, and better, affect if you set up a long stay discount at the hotel.
Long stay days: 3
Long stay discount: 33%
Example
Consider room price per day 50 EUR.
If someone books 3 nights he will pay just the 2 (3 X 50 - 33% = 100.5 EUR).
If someone books 2 nights he wont get discount (2 X 50 = 100 EUR).
If someone books 4 nights or more he will get 33% discount (4 X 50 - 33% = 134 EUR).

Understood, but for example, if I apply 33% discount, this will apply the discount during the stay. In the case of 3x2. The discount should only be applied during the first 3 nights and the client must pay the regular price during the 4th night

You dont get any answer because the answer is obvious that what you ask is not supported. You must modify the source code in various places and add checks like this:

Is there a way I can add a third option to Reservation status ('confirmed' in DB), since sometimes the guest just no show.
So, the options here will be Confirmed | Not Confirmed | No Show
Basically the question is how to add to the database a third option, since is just true or false right now.

The question: "Is the reservation confirmed?" Can be true or false because it asks for a true/false (boolean) reply and nothing else. When the reservation is marked as confirmed? When the customer pays the surety fee (automatically) or when you contact the customer, make sure that he will come and manually set his reservation as confirmed. So regardless if he finally show up or not the reservation is confirmed or not confirmed. If he doesn't finally show you can either set the reservation back to "non-confirmed" or delete (better) delete it.
