Title: Authorization failed. Elxis ID does not match requested site (ERROR A09)
Post by: armpouniotis on November 21, 2014, 22:24:29
Hi there !

2 years ago I made a website and I registered it to Elxis jsut to get an Elxis Id.

Now, the same site is under a new domain name, but in Extensions > Check for updates, I get the following error message:

Authorization failed. Elxis ID does not match requested site (ERROR A09)

How can I fix it ???

thank you in advance

I changed something on EDC. Try again.

Most probably the problem will remain but you will now get a different error message like that:
Authorization failed. Elxis ID does not match requested site (SITE_URL_A vs SITE_URL_B) (ERROR A09)

In this case please write me the values of SITE_URL_A and SITE_URL_B (in a personal message if you dont want in public). I could solve this problem without this test but I want to see why it happens.

Hello Datahell !

now I get the error message that you are saying:

Authorization failed. Elxis ID does not match requested site (http://www.pathologos-kontoninas.gr vs http://www.pathologos-thessaloniki-veria.gr/) (ERROR A09)

My problem is that I can't download anything from EDC !

What should I do about that ?

Thank you in advance

Christos

So EDC is correct, I am correct, Elxis is correct, everything is correct except you! YOU are the problem :)

You created the Elxis ID at http://www.pathologos-kontoninas.gr and then you moved the site at http://www.pathologos-thessaloniki-veria.gr. So you request EDC from http://www.pathologos-thessaloniki-veria.gr with an Elxis ID that belongs to an other site. This is not allowed by EDC authentication system.

Do this:
Go to Administration > Extensions > Components
Click on component Extensions Manager and go to tab Parameters. Empty the value of Elxis ID parameter and click Save.

Try again to access EDC, the problem should have been solved.

Thank you very much for your help !

I know that I was wrong, since I don't have any problem with Elxis so far !

Now I know what I am going to do, if I had the same problem again !

Cheers !!!
