Title: Automatic Elxis articles on facebook wall

Hi,

What about a component-api function that optionally when I add a new article on Elxis, also appear in the facebook wall automatically? Can be also as well to twitter. I remember that there're some plugins in wp doing such thing.

The problem is that each time that my father adds a new article in Elxis, then needs to log in in facebook and add the new article manually. I think that can be useful for many people.

I will speak only about me, and no other developer: I don't work with facebook. As for Twitter it is easy to be done, Elxis has a Twitter library integrated, but Twitter messages are limmited to 160 characters, you can't post a whole article on Twitter. You could use a share button for Twitter and Facebook (https://www.elxis.net/edc/social/).

And this will be the most appropriate way from now on!! I read a few weeks ago (cannot find the link right now) that Facebook changes it's policy, regarding automated posts from external sources.

Manually posts (non automated) will be susceptible to better ranking and visibility within Facebook. Keep this in mind!

Hi,

ok, thank you datahell and rentasite.

I mean, only as example, adding a field -or something similar- in the article details tab zone (or a new social tab) in order to write some words to be send to the facebook or twitter wall. Also for facebook can use the principal image from this zone.

Hi datahell, I can't see the share button for facebook. I only see the recommend, like and comments buttons.
