Title: After moving to new host cache cannot load
Post by: kyomar on April 12, 2014, 06:47:51
Hi, I have moved website to a new host. When I now try to open cache in admin nothing happens. I waited for 10 min. and no files (please wait...). Should I delete cache manually in elxis.rep/cache?

Thank you,
Markus

Make sure the "repository" and "log" folders are writeable.
Then if the files inside Elxis repository have wrong permissions or owner, either make them writeable or delete them (Elxis will re-create them).

thanks datahell. The folders have the right permission 755 (I have checked with hosting provider). I have deleted the cache folders and they have been re-created - so this seems to work but I still cannot load/open the cached items in the admin area. Any suggestions?

Thank you!
Markus

755 is the right permissions for writeable folders if apache runs as the local user. Else you need to chmod to 777.

Also make sure the owner (user:group) is correct.

If you want you can send me with a personal message access details (admin & ftp) to check it.
