Title: Removed XML parameter?
Post by: acampball on March 25, 2014, 11:20:41
Hello!

Why is the new version of Elxis removed XML parameter - type=database?

There is no answer in this, I don't remember exactly why we removed it... Most probably for security and simplicity as we have added some specialised parameter types and the database type was too advanced to be used by the majority of developers. I have thought some times of returning back this parameter type. I am sure there is an other why to do what you want, maybe not so nice but it will work. What exactly you want to display?

I have several components.
Also for these components created modules.

In module settings must specify codes (eg - category). Of course you can simply enter the code hands, but it was very convenient to give the user the ability to select from a list.

We will see if we add it again in Elxis 4.2. Till then use standard text inputs.
