Title: Increase security with Elxis Logins Recorder
Post by: datahell on April 03, 2007, 19:47:54
A new tool added in Elxis CMS standard release. It's name is Logins Recorder. It is a recorder tool that logs any login attempt (successful or not) in the administration panel. You can enable or disable this tool. Logins recorder informs you for any login attempt, the exact time, the user's ip address, Operating System, Browser type and version, and also if the login attempt was successful or not. It also uses cryptography and ajax. This tool will be available in Elxis version 2007.

Very useful. Bravo!

John, what about a "Password Reminder" for the Administration Area?

No! This kind of features are never recommended. If admin has lost his password he can change it from phpMyAdmin.

Thanks for your kind words. I tested yesterday and tommorrow Logins Recorder and I think it is a perfect addon for every Elxis site. Notes: 1. The whole Elxis Tools system will be changed inorder to become more easily accessible. 2. The new tool uses the new XML language system ( multilingual XML made easy! ).
