Title: Aurora template released!
Post by: webgift on September 30, 2013, 16:05:55
Aurora is the most flexible and complete template we have ever created. Its modern and fully responsive design best fits into current web trends. Included colors, themes and layout makes it ready to work in just a few minutes. We put a lot of effort to make the template intuitive to use and easy to customize. You won't find any better tool to build exceptional sites (blog, business, portfolio, products, online reservations etc)! We are proud of this template and we hope you will also be.

Aurora can automatically adapt to many screen sizes thanks to its responsive capabilities. Even better is that all of Aurora's sliders are also fully responsive: Orbit slider, Content Slider, Pikachoose - Thumbnail slider and our Elastic Slider. All sliders include touch swipe functionality for tablets and smartphones. Not only is it responsive but it also keeps the clean, modern design all the way down to smaller screen sizes such as iPhones. Every element has been tweaked for different screen sizes to make sure it looks great no matter what the device. Now people can easily browse your site using smartphones, tablets, laptops or desktop computers.

OK, i see, another thing please:
in the template it shown to hide the columns:
Aurora template give you the option of hiding the side columns (left and right one) up to 6 different pages. You can write down a URL segment of the page you are interested with at the template's parameters.

I don't find this parameter...it is only possible changing from 2, 3 columns. can you advice ..

Internal Notes are attached to the package. Notes analyze how you can update the package from version 1.2 to 2.0, what is the structure of the module positions and how we can set the modules: login, language, IOSR Currency and search as icons (at the right top area of Aurora template).

Hi,
There is an image (module_positions_homepage.png) placed on the package Aurora (inside the folder internal notes) and show us the module positions that you could use on homepage. Beside of that there is a text file on the same folder with the name: Modules_and_Module_positions too. So you could use these 2 source in order to build your home page.

I have try to implement base on module position (module_positions_homepage.png) but cannot.

i think the demo on http://iosr4.isopensource2.com/ doing small modification on the template.

do you have idea how to add rightbar class - not modul class in frontpage

<div class="rightcolumn">
<div class="module">
.......................................................
</div>
</div>

It's not an Aurora issue. Please open the global settings of your elxis cms installation and change the default route to:
[Top menu] Site -> Settings -> [General Tab] -> [Label] Default route: reservations:/
[/size]

Most of visitors find the language flags are very confusing...
Can we fix it.(or stable it) ?
thanks..

Let's say I see the flags of Korea, Cameroon, Nigeria, U.K., and Greece.

What if I don't know the flag of Korea, Cameroon, or Nigeria? I will never switch to these languages. My native language is Greek, so when I see the Greek flag -which I know very well- I will switch to that one. If I don't see the Greek flag and I see the English one, I will pick that one. If I know no flag then 99,99% that site is useless to me as the content is written in languages I don't understand.

Conclusion: There is no problem with the language flags, they are absolutely fine. Also if you put your cursor over each flag it tells you which language it is.

Post by: webgift on February 08, 2014, 15:10:21
I agree with Datahell!
Language module has been re-developed in order to be displayed like that. You could display that module to a different module position instead of the 'language' one. There are some internal notes regarding module positions for more details. There might be a different way in a future update.

Beautiful template.

Does it support APC cache settings like in Flex template that comes with Elxis 4.2.

Looking in /templates/flex/includes/flex.class.php, special coding is required to take advantage of APC caching.

Thank you @webgift. Purchased it and like it a lot.

One quick question - the inline css in html5 output, the margin declaration seems not right: margin; 0;
Code: [Select]
.infobox, .copytxt {width: 100%; clear:both; margin: 0 auto; padding: 5px; margin; 0; line-height: 30px; float:none; text-align: center;}
Also some inline css !important declarations missing space before them.

Thank you @timalsina for the update.
Really pleased that you like Aurora. I had already added such a change to my TODO list. In particular i am going to totally remove inline CSS at the next update.

@Webgift - Glad to hear inline CSS will be gone on the next update. I am requesting to make it even lighter [reduce http requests/ combine JS]

I am having a slight JS issue which I will post it here once I push the code to the live server.

Hello @wieyoga,
You should disable the mobile version option from global settings of your Elxis CMS
installation.
