Title: Ibrowse (Tinymce) won't open with IE and opera.
Post by: Amigamerlin on August 05, 2012, 18:01:06
I'm facing this problem on elxis-2009.3.
If I click on Ibrowse icon editing a content using opera and IE8/9 as browser the popup don't come out .
No problem using firefox.
Anyone else have my same problem?
Any fix for opera and IE 8/9?

Let me know.

Thank you.

An open source project like Elxis cms is fully compatible with the open source browsers. :) The best ones at least! So IE8/9 and opera are caused issues by their natures.  ;D Why don't you use only Firefox for this purpose?

When we are talking about administration, there is not any reason to use other Browser for this, when Firefox since Elxis born was behaving and behaves perfect at all versions.

First try to do administrate Elxis with latest versions of Google Chrome and Safari and if this is not fully functional, then have a look at the following links:

a) How to use Firefox Home on your iOS device (iPhone and iPad) (http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-use-firefox-home-on-ios-iphone-and-ipad)

b) Firefox on your mobile device (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/mobile/platforms/)

c) Will Firefox work on my mobile device? (http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/will-firefox-work-my-mobile-device)

As a new  elxis user I had a similar problem with firefox. Cause was that in
Quote
Options->Tabs-> open new windows in a new tab instead
was active. Ibrowser needs a new window to work properly, not a tab.

Maybe some kind of similar option is active in IE & opera. ???
