Title: Elxis Forum - How do we move topics from one board to another??? [SOLVED]

Hi,
I was wondering what do I need to do in order to be able to move a topic from one board to another? As an administrator I cannot do it? I get the following error: You can not move topic as you can moderate less than 2 boards

Assign as moderator for more than 2 boards and give it a try. This is the solution i think (not verified by me)! :)

If I assign the administrator as a moderator, don't I demote him/her ?
The administrator creates the boards, doesn't that make him moderator for those boards?

No you won't demote him. I think you have confused with the means of elxis 'Administrator' and eforum moderators.
"The Administrator or Admin, of a forum is the person with full control. He has access to eForum Control Panel where he can configure the forum as he wishes. The Administrator can add or remove privileges, customize the look, assign moderators and other staff, and many more things inside the Control Panel."
- Only Administrators have access in the control panel of eForum.

A moderator is a forum user (with specific rights) who can moderate posts in the boards. Moderators are usually listed under the board's description.
Beyond the common rights, Moderators can:

    Delete topics.
   Move topics to another board.
    Mark a topic as Sticky.
    Set a topic as read only.

I thought that an administrator would also have moderator privileges.
I have two administrators for the Elxis backend, and they were both administrators for the forum (which is different)

Now I made one a moderator to the forum (that does not change his admin access to the back end).

OK,
I made this person a moderator to all available boards and he's still getting the same error message when trying to move a topic

I can't help you from here. I have made the same changes to my local installation and it works without any issue.

what could be the problem?
He's the moderator to all boards and yet he cannot move a topic. :(

The user must be a moderator of both boards.

Tip: If it doesn't work try making him a moderator to a board of an other category...

there is only one category and 14 boards.. he's a modarator in all the boards

If I create more categories (that solves the problem I tested it), then I should be able to move the forums without loosing the posts right?

There was a small bug which I fixed.
Download attached file and replace the existing one:
components/com_eforum/eforum.php

With this fix the user doesn't need to be a moderator on boards belonging to more than 1 category.
I also updated eforum component on EDC.
