Hello all,
I installed this module at the bottom of the webpage but I don't know why I am receiving this message:
Could not retrieve id for the specified page. Please verify correct href was passed in.
This is the url that I have put into the module and it works.
http://www.facebook.com/enosismyrneon (http://www.facebook.com/enosismyrneon)
The first time that I tried it, a message came up from facebook regarding the activation of applications and I clicked accept.
That's the only other clue that I have to this problem.
It is using FBML. Should it use iFrame (HTML)? Show faces is yes, the stream and header are no.
-
Just try URL without http:// : www.facebook.com/enosismyrneon and verify me that it works with iFrame.

Hello Stavros,
Just tried on my own site where I know that the apps and security settings are default and working.
Removed the http:// and set it to iframe but it still does not work. It still gives me that message.
Thanks for your quick response.

I just used a link that I have for facebook debugging
http://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.enosismyrneon.gr%2F (http://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.enosismyrneon.gr%2F)
but I don't really know very well if the information it shows helps.

I don't know what is going on with facebook. At the demo of this module here (http://lab.mywebgift.gr).I use iFrame method and as you can see it is working successfully!
-
I have heard that they might be changing some things but yours is working. I too do not understand.
If I go to http://www.enosismyrneon.gr/ (http://www.enosismyrneon.gr/) the message is still showing on the bottom left side, but if I click on the facebook module spot that I created for them awhile ago, the url link works to bring up their fb page.
Very strange and the same thing happens on my site too.
Ok, no problem I will unpublish for the moment.
-
I just tried using both methods but neither one worked, I also interchanged between the urls, but that made no difference.
http://www.facebook.com/enosismyrneon
www.facebook.com/enosismyrneon
Sorry I don't have any other error information.

Something is going wrong with your Fan Page settings - permissions.
-
In FB, I have found the following:
App Settings
You have not authorized any apps to interact with your Facebook account.
I have looked in both account and privacy settings but I do not see anything that might block it.
-
Ok. Let's try something else.
Can you send me your fanpage ID ? You can find that if you look your URL when you click on Edit page. It will be something like : https://www.facebook.com/pages/edit/?id=XXXXXXXXXXXXX
-
I just had a look at the FB blocked apps list and noticed 2 items but I'm not sure if they have anything to do with the problem.
I unblocked the static fbml.
Yes, I have that url and it is http://www.facebook.com/pages/Enosi-Smyrneon/271852081883 (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Enosi-Smyrneon/271852081883)

I entered the url that you mentioned and now it is working.
-
At the URL field of Facebook like box module write : http://www.facebook.com/pages/Enosi-Smyrneon/271852081883
-
Great! Facebook hasn't assigned your FanPage url yet. Just keep these setting ;)
-
Many thanks Stavros!
-
You are welcome, Peter.
I need your help ... for something. I will send you a PM shortly for more details.
-
So finally this was solved by using the facebook numbered id rather than the custom id.
-
Yes. Finally solved using your FanPage ID number at URL field. Just remember the error message :
Could not retrieve id for the specified page. Please verify correct href was passed in.
