Hi,

I'm going to be using eshop for one of my upcoming projects but I want to know what are the siginifcant differences between EShop & Virtuamart from Joomla  :-\ ? It would be good to know so I can explain to my clients the advantages of EShop over Virtuamart.

Best regards,

IOS eshop is secure, SEO pro, multilingual, easy to use than other eshop softwares  ;)
Virtuemart works only under joomla, possibility to be hacked  ;D

The main difference :
eShop is running under Elxis that means ( SEO + Security ) and VirtualMarket under Joomla ( not such a good SEO techniques , Security hole )

Here is the Elxis Forum, de-active. What are you waiting to read about ? Elxis and Joomla is the main difference of that two web applications. Personally i am not going to use something that provides me security holes.

I think you people have misunderstood me - yes, clearly the difference/advantages are the CMSs - Elxis is "better/secure" than Joomla but if you were to compare only the ecommerce engines EShop & Virtuamart - then what are the advantages of Eshop over Virtuamart.

if you want to connect with eurobank server you have to pay 68,88 euros and that only for one bank ios eshop i think have the all system 99 euros

Don't forget that you are in Elxis Components area. Not in the Public Speaking area.

I'm just looking @ the eshop info page and it says:
Quote
In the IOS Eshop package there is a number (about 20) of modules and bots you get for free when you purchase the component

Which someone list what these modules or bots are? Are the free ones that come with Eliixis?

Thanks

- mod_eshop_latest

Thanks for your response. More questions :)

If I wanted to display products in video format (say uploaded to youtube), how would I add video to each product from eshop?

I want to sell clothes on a website, and I will get models to do the catwalk and display each clothes via a short video. So how would I add a short video 1-3 minutes for each product from eshop?

If not possible in this version, I would recommend this be included in future version - the option to add videos - could also be video review of product

You can include a youtube video into a Product's description area.
Just install Bot YouTube Plus (http://www.elxis-downloads.com/downloads/multimedia/285.html) and it's button here (http://www.elxis-downloads.com/downloads/multimedia/286.html).
The button will be displayed at TinyMCE editors area. This will help you.! Read the instructions for detailed information about ;)

I 'm trying to include a video in product's description and I can't.
It's working fine when it's added at newsflashes for example.
I 've tried bot youtube plus, button youtube plush, bot youtube and social video with no results...
Any idea?

Thanks,
Marios

Is that video come from Youtube? What exactly you are writing ?
Please use one bot and disable/remove the other one.

- Remove all the installed bots relative to that.
- Install the Youtube bot (http://www.elxis-downloads.com/downloads/multimedia/44.html)
- At the product's description area write : {youtube}AjFepCUx5Us{/youtube}

Don't forget to publish the bot after installation
At the attached image you can see the test that i have already made.

You have to enable bots in IOS Eshop configuration!

IOS Eshop -> Configuration -> Tab "General settings" -> Enable bots? -> Yes
