Title: How to simple upgrade Module, Bot, Component to a newest version

Hi i have searched through the forum a while.

How to simply update a module or bot?

If i uninstall and install it again i will loose the folder and changes i suppose.
Inside the zip of the new version is not included any description.
Just override the old php and xml pages?

Yes you can replace them. Parameters stored at the database so replacing the XML file of Modules , Bots won't loose anything.
The only way to loose your registered parameters are in cases that xml file has been totally changed in comparison of outdated version.

Components update has totally different philosophy. Each developer must publish a note of how can update his component. ;)

last decision? simple ovveride of all the files? i well understood?

if you have modified the CSS files, of those modules, take a backup.
