Title: IOSR: extra fields when booking?
Post by: rulez22 on October 17, 2010, 17:47:57
1) Is it possible to have custom extra fields when making a booking?
2) Is it possible to make a dependable fields, like "book transfers?" (yes/no), if yes, then client will see another field where he needs to put his flight details?
3) when booking is made there is no way you (hotelier or manager, not client) can change it other than just reject or delete it. Is it possible to make changes to dates (recalculate total amount).
4) How about sorting fields - when you see all reservations it would be nice to see them by arrival date or departure for example?
5) Is there a way to have suppliers per booking? Extra fields or information only visible to hotelier or manager, not client. Like outstanding invoices for extra services like horse riding, boat hire, car hire, taxi, etc?

Thanks

IOS Reservations is an online hotel booking system. You can book extra services (cars, boats, etc) but it is required to book a room first. On the upcoming version 3.5 you can edit the reservation and change everything. Also the new version has many sorting options as well as export and statistics.

Thanks Datahell!

I understand that it is a hotel booking system, maybe i didn't give right example. What I mean was, some hotels don't have 24h reception and it is important to have a field where client can put his arrival time (sometimes people arrive at midnight!).

Regarding the transfers - same thing. Just dependable field to Add-on service. Let's say you have add-on service "private car transfer" yes/no, select yes, and then cllient will have to put his flight information and arrival time (it is required for transfers), also departure time (usually they get picked up 2h before flight)

Regarding suppliers it is to have some sort of simple way of accounts, so you know what is due to particular supplier in that booking. Tour operator feature basically.

UPD: Regarding Hotels I understand it works like a tree system, Location->Hotel->Room->Season and Price
Once you have hundred(s) of hotels it is hard to find what needs updating, is there a way to make it more easy for people to search for these out of date rates and also auto deleting rates in the past (it is just trash in database)? Also when hotel's rates expired how about make this hotel unpublished (cron check or something?) so it doesnt show silly "prices from 0.00EUR"
