Hi,
I am creating a website learning as I go, I have very little knowledge to no knowledge at all, I am basically learning by trial and error and the wiki articles.
I have gone to modules, install and I have installed mod_elxiscouloir it shows in my installed list, but after that I have no idea how to add it to my webpage, I have all the pictures in one folder, but after that I am lost.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
THanks
Julie

I have created that module 2 years ago and I have forgotten it....
Go to modules and click on Elxis couloir module. Set the module parameters properly. The most important parameter is the first one asking for the relative path from the images directory. The help text makes this very clear I think: Relative path from the images/ directory where your images are located (example: stories/myimages).
So, if you have uploaded your images at images/mypics/ folder you should set: "mypics" as the folder that contains your images.
After setting properly all parameters set the position of the template where this module will be displayed (i.e. "left", "right", etc). Pick a position in the center of your site as the module requires some space to display the images. Assign that module to a page (menu item) if you wish to make it be displayed only in specific pages.
Note: There are other, newer, modules that you might also check like IOS NoobSlide, Multithumb, and easy gallery (bot).

Hi,
I will try one of the newer as you suggested, the Couloir though does not show up in my modules, it only shows on the installed page when I go to site modules or admin modules, it is not there.

I will update this module as soon as possible as it was built for Elxis 2008.x.

Thanks for your help, I am trying the EAsy Gallery now, I am sure I will be back with more questions

Note that Easy Gallery is a bot, meaning that you have to put it inside content items (articles).
The most common usage method is by uploading your images to a folder and then edit an article and enter that code inside the editor:
{gallery}images/flowers/{/gallery}

Hi,
Thanks for your help, the easy Gallery turned out better than my original idea.
