Hello, I'm facing a strange problem that happen with IOS Newsletter release 1.2 :
Scenario:
From IOS Newsletter control panel --> Subscriber, adding a new users or after modified a parameter (in my case the email) clicking on save a blank page appair and no modify will be done; no new user will be addedd and no user parameter will be modified.
This Happen to me with the IOS Newsletter release 1.2 and don't happen with IOS Newsletter release 1.0 (both version was used and tested in the same server and ELXIS installation).

Dear friend, no error were generated ... only a blank (white) page with and /administrator/index3.php in the bar ... I tested 1.2 on an ELXIS installation locally (Uniserver) and no problem at all :( ... maybe a permission error on the real server. There all the files were chmodde in 755.
The strange thing is that the version 1.0 works without problem ( I can add and modify Subscriber without problem) in the same real server were the 1.2 fail.

For the log that I can read ... from the ISP CP of my space ... no error were generated, there is no error.

There is a fatal php error if you see a blank page, but most probably hidden by a "@" character. So it needs debug to find out what causes the error.
Wait some minutes to do a quick check on the component. I will reply you again soon.

I can not reproduce the problem under: IOS Newsletter 1.2, PHP 5.2.5, Elxis 2009.2. For me it works fine.
The only thing that MIGHT generate a problem on PHP 5.3+ is this:
File: administrator/components/com_newsletter/admin.newsletter.php
Line: 429 (inside function saveSubscriber)
Change this:
$pat = "([\"]|[\#]|[\<]|[\>]|[\*]|[\~]|[\`]|[\^]|[\|]|[\\\])";
With this:
$pat = "/([\"]|[\#]|[\<]|[\>]|[\*]|[\~]|[\`]|[\^]|[\|]|[\\\])/";
Did the problem solved? If not, tell me your Elxis and your PHP version.

You will face the same problem when saving a newsletter. Download IOS Newsletter v1.3 (http://www.elxis-downloads.com/downloads/newsletters/8.html) that I released just this evening and you will have no problems at all.

Αs you can see apostole there is a folder called "deamons" on com_eforum .... xaxaxa ;D
