Title: laguages[SolVed]
Post by: bully on March 20, 2010, 06:18:12
Hi  evrybody,
i am needing some advise/help- in the German translation is an ugly spell mistake:
define('_EMAIL_PROMPT',' E-Mail Addresse');
after korrecting this- the correct spelling appears, but my template gets virtually into disorder. after undoing this change: the spell mistake is up  again and the template remains the the same disorderly -also the language bar disappears
after replacing it with the fresh original it works again.

anyone does any info, on how to resolve this?

yes, you even can test it live www.it-bizz.net
the english and the vietnamese language files are "from the box", the german is the corrected one. as soon i take the german one from the"the box" it will appear correctly, same like english, vietnamese.
I know, it sounds strange..
therefore thans for your help so far

the only diffrence i can see is the header(margin-top:22px;) in german...

i can not see any language problem....

if this top margin is your problem... then fix your tpl... you use different tpl for german.... right?

it is not only the top margin - the place, where the language bar is now is slightly different- however, the modified file causes:

- change of font size in the footer
- increases the margin between the flags

the template seems to work well, as long no language.php is modified , but then are the spell mistakes in. ...

are you using a different tpl for German lang?

lang file does not changes font size.. generally(?) can not modify-apply  css classes

***

edit
-maybe you are using some modules in german lang with css-classes that spoils your tpl's css
-in firebox there is no different flag margins or font-sizes.. try to various browsers .. in some cases browsers can apply their own css style in web pages
-the file that you attached seems to be correct, i assume that your site uses it right now and what i see it is from your modified lang file

No, there is no different template - it is the same. the only is, the left upper menu, is the same, just a different name, for each language.
but the most strange thing, if i place the original german.php, it will not happen. as you have it now, i will now place the original geman.php and you will notice, it does not happen
