Title: top menu with sub menu

Hello all,

I want to make the top menu look like this when a user mouse hovers over a menu button, e.g. menu2 displays sub menus on the next line:

menu1     menu2      menu3       ...
sub2a    sub2b    sub2c   sub2d       ....
 
Am I using the wrong mod IOS DV MENU or should I simply change css?

Thank you but the example that I have shown (Professional dropline #5) is what I want to do.

The question is whether I can use one of the navigation extensions or should do I have to start from scratch to do it using css and javascript?

i am using elxis extension menu module EI Superfish Menu.i install it configure and working,but when i keep mouse on one of item of top menu,it shows its sub menu perfectly,but problem is tab is also expand equal to width of its sub menus,can u some body  guide me how can i short this problem.i am attaching a screen shot for your kind reference.

Put into the CSS class: sf-menu

i tried what you advices but still same problem ,do you think i am creating menu in wrong way.first of all i create e-business link,then under this some link for one of link and then under this some more for some other link

can u guide me step by step how we can create top menu by EI-Superfish menu.for help appreciated.


i just problem why this tab e-business expand.

azmi2,

Placing the mouse over the ebusiness is working correcly.  It opens because the mouse hovers over it.  When you move the mouse away it should return to its previous state.  The Superfish menu also has timing parameters, delay and speed time to adjust how fast and how long the menu opens.

If you want the menu to work differently then you will have to change the CSS.  Look in the folder of modules for the menu that you installed and in there you will find the css of the menu.  Also have a look on google for css menu horizontal to see how to style the menu.

You should review the organization of your menu so that only say 2 or 3 menu items are under ebusiness.

its not a problem for timing,i just want why the tab i keep mouse expand same width of the all submenu.i want same as in ei superfish menu

The menu that you show in the image can be done by changing the CSS.  You can use the css from the menu you show in the image and copy it into template_css.css then use the class or id in the module where CSS class: sf-menu previously.
