Title: creating a template, columns-divs, clearing divs for all browsers [SOLVED]
Post by: ROUBOS on July 09, 2009, 20:00:31
Hi,
just a question (maybe stupid with a simple answer).
creating a template for an Elxis CMS. I know that the preferred way is using CSS with DIV tag simple designs. Now should we be going through the testing that the CSS layout works with all browsers? Be doing some reading and some sites mention the need to "clear" div tags for Netscape Navigator support.
Should we be bothering with all that?

I mean I've done a nice simple fixed three column CSS layout with DIV tags (I hate tables), and not sure if I should be testing it on Opera, Netscape Navigator, Firefox and IE ????

Do you guys bother with all that? Do you clear div tags for the layout to work in all browsers?

Thanks

Given AOL's current business focus and the success the Mozilla Foundation has had in developing critically-acclaimed products, we feel it's the right time to end development of Netscape branded software. Read the history page for more details about this decision.

this is not that i don't believe you...

sorry maybe i didn't wrote it well ...
i explain it ...
say that is wrong because  they won't see only your costumers the sites... don't pay more  attention to ie
you don't know what browser  the clients of your clients uses

don't stay on what your own customers uses ...this is the wrong view...

and i putted some links to show how different is the market...than what you believe(if)... 90% of your customers is not the correct view of what is used more, ie or other browser...

Ps my customers is exactly  the opposite 90% firefox...
i can't pay more attention to firefox ... half(that correct) the market uses ie

and i forgot to quote
