Please be as kind as to let us know asap. how can we freely choose the place where a banner will be displayed ?
F.ex. :
- how to place a banner to the extreme Right, or to the extreme Left Column, (1st, 2nd, or 3rd, etc). Or at the upper headlines of the Frontpage, there where Logos are, or down, near the Footer, etc.
Elxis is a nice tool, but it's not always easy to understand for newbies, in a simple and clear way, how to manage its Frontpage's look. Until crystal-clear explanations are given, this obliges to loose too much TIME, which could (and should) have been used to develop useful content, for the benefit of all (including Elxis' fame).
Thanks in advance for any efficient good will...

F.ex. in the Administration's "Help" it says that "some Columns" have "arrows" at their headers, which open a "popup Filter window", through which we could "select the Banners to be displayed".
But (even if this looks silly, in practice, all Newbies need a clear explanation, f.ex. in a comprehensive Guide and/or Forum) : - Where can we find these "Columns" with "arrows", etc. ? It's not obvious...

i will help you... i see you are totally lost

this help is talking about what you see in admin... these arrows are in the list of banners(admin) / that columns are list-columns if see a green arrow to the right of them you can click to filter what list displays!
to the point..
you need to change or add more banners in the page, right?
A- how to change where banners appear (position in frontent)
1- open module banners in site-modules page under modules tab in admin area...
2 scroll down to find a select-box called position and by default is selected the value "banners" (see pic below)
3- change this to other position ... this option controling the position of banners!
Note:that according to template you are using not all positions existing!
it is possible to create any position that not exists(this is an other matter..)
B-
two or more banners in same page at different places !
you need to duplicate module-banner:
1- go to modules-page as above .. check module-banners and then click "copy" to the upper right corner of admin area
2- open this copy of module-banners and change it's position as we said above to a different position
C - to show different banners in each position you have to make use of "Banner client:" option inside each banner-module
.. appears close to the bottom of the page! needs the ids of clients(find in compoments>>>banners>>manage clients)
This gives also the ability to have different dimension banner in each position.
..this in brief , ask if not understand something!

We did a part of what you advised, and it works. Another useful tool in this regard is the "Banner's Manager", which appears by clicking at the Right group of links inside Admin.

this is a shortcut to compoments>>banners>>manage banners
component banner controlling the banners...create-upload, impressions-clicks, clients, active or not, etc....
module banners controlling the position and filter what to display in what position!
