Title: IOS Reservations System: Full Payment?
Post by: de-active on March 01, 2009, 02:30:09
Hello
This is my first post here regarding IOS Reservations System, which I think might just be the perfect solution for my business idea, which is basically like booking.com but only for a particular area.
I know it says the following:

Οnline payment of reservation surety fee via PayPal (part or the whole of the total reservation cost)

But I want to know if IOS RS will allow me to charge and collect the total amount due by the customer and not only the surety fee. Also if paypal will allow this and if not, which is the most cost-effective online payment system gateway out there. I'm a small company, expect a maximum of 100 bookings per month.

 ???I hope that is clear.

If you are running just a hotel then all payments will go to your paypal account,
if you are planing to use as a multihotel portal website the the fee will go to the hotel providers not to your paypal account, so you don't have to send this little payments to your customers, saves you time.

when it comes to collecting your fees the system doe not have that future yet.

hope this helps ....

Surety fee can be the total amount due if you set paypal surety fee to 100%.

Great thanks,

Yeah I will have multiple hotels, about 30 hotels so I need to have the money sent into my account and then the I will pay the hotels after. Right so the trick is set the surety fee to 100%

If you want to use PaypalPro you need an account with paypal.
PaypalPro accounts are available only in USA, Canada, UK  more info here: https://www.paypal-business.co.uk/process-online-payments-with-paypal/index.htm

If you are not in one of the countries aiden11 mentioned just pick the standard "PayPal".
