Post by: Erich on January 12, 2009, 21:33:26
Hi.
Elxis, I want to install on my MacBook and when it is ready only on the server(www) transfer. Is that possible?

Thanks and best wishes, Erich. ;)

Hi Erich and welcome.

And YES definetly it is possible to do site locally and then transfer to remote server. We all do that every day. :)
Just ask if you are stuck somewhere.

Thanks Ivan.
The files with an FTP program to transfer to the server, the database on the new server. And as a last config.php change. Is that really so?

Best wishes, Erich.

Exactly!
Just remember that Elxis uses utf-8 encoding, so when you create DB on you server, remember to set charset to utf-8 and utf8_general_ci collation
