Title: Can not save Global Configuration
Post by: pavel on January 08, 2009, 00:54:37
Hello to Elxis team from Cyprus :)

After elxis installation I can not save Global Configuration page via admin panel (which shows that configuration.php is writable) Error as following:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /administrator/index2.php on this server.
Apache/1.3.41 Ben-SSL/1.57 Server at www.changeddomainname.com Port 80

I uploaded files, then run installation, then changed permissions to folders and files as per "proper installation" instruction. (I should have changed permissions before running an installer I guess, I am not sure if it matters).  During the installation I did not get any errors (other than I could not set ftp access in the last step).

Elxis is installed in the addon/domain directory, where "domain" is running on php5 (session.save_path set not set) and "addon" has php4 with session.save_path set set to /tmp.  May be I need to have php5 session.save_path to be properly set?   ???

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hi Pavel,

Did you enable FTP support in Global Configuration?

No, ftp support is not enabled.  I asked my host to help with this issue and they found the following:

The issue was with mod_security.  It flagged the script, and prevented it from running.  I've white-listed it.

Now I am able to save the global settings page without problems.  Issue resolved, thank you.  Once the site is running, I will post a link.
