it's would be great if elxis support oracle 99.9% like mysql?
i think all of us is waiting for it... is'n it?
idea for developer:
would you like to make elxis online demo with oracle database? (may be we can hosting the elxis online demo on phporaclehosting.com, but it's very expensive, and need donation from elxis users ;D)
so any elxis user can test-it by online access
keep good working....

Some notices:
1. Elxis was based on mambo CMS that suppored only mysql and the db queries were mysql specific. We tried a lot making db queries SQL native in order to support more databases. Elxis 2008.1 is in a very good way in this area, not perfect, but very good.
2. Oracle support is experimental. It surely needs improvements to be 100% functional.
3. I am not an Oracle expert. We need user's help to make Elxis support Oracle better. The Elxis source code is available to all of you. If you wish you can modify Elxis source code in order to make Oracle support better and send us your modifications to add them in the Elxis main release.
It is no matter which will be the database type in the Elxis demo. Users want to see the Elxis features not the database.
