Hi all,
OK got Elxis installed and running on a live server. Also got a template (simple-will work on it more later) working.
Now I just need someone to guide me to the right direction...
I figured out how to create a new menu. I also made an autonomous page and then linked it from a menu item.
Ok that does not create a new page right? Cause when testing it, the link exists but the page is missing.
So whats the process? How do we create a page and then link to it from the menu?
Or is there only one page (index) and every document/module loads on it?

Probably you have to think how to organize your content before try to show up your first page.
There are two ways.
First is to create the section and then the category, after you can add content to the specific category and you can give rights to your content to show up to the first page.
Second way and not always the best is to create a autonomous page and connect to a specific menu using the right menu inside the content.(Autonomous can t publish at the front page)
Try it ..

So we create our menu which really separates the site to different section. For example: Home/Who we are/What we do/Fotos/Music/Links/Contact Us (these are all buttons of the menu.
So we create a Section for each of those, and then Categories that belong to each section (can me more than one) , and then content items for the categories...
am i getting the idea or am i lost?

TOTALLY LOST..
1- SECTION the only thing that separate to a section is only the section itself(they can have only child categories no content, unlimited categories)
2- CATEGORIES that have a only ONE parrent section (here goes the content item no were else) categories follows the section, no cross or dubicated parrent section ...
3- LINKS to content items in the MENUs .. here we play and make thinks look what ever we want!
thats the correct order

e.x.
Section:
1.Cars
Category
1.Mazda
2.Lancia
3..........
This is the best idea to organize your content .
If you want to make a menu item from a specific car Mazda e.x. you use the right menu inside the content to link it to the e.x. main menu.
If you want to create a menu item who shows all the category then you have to go to the menu manager choose a menu to add like main menu and make "new" and then the "Blog - Content Category" or try something else.

So,
I would make my entire menu as one Section,
then the Categories of that Section will be the menu items,
then create the Content Items for each Category
eg:
My Main Menu (Section)
--->Who we are (category)
---------->content
--->What we do (category)
---------->content
--->Photos (category)
---------->content
--->Books (category)
---------->fiction (content)
---------->non fiction (content)
---------->new (content)
---------->science (content)
---------->sport (content)
--->Contact Us (category)
---------->content
-
--->Photos (category)
---------->content
Component - stargallery
--->Books (category)
---------->fiction (content)
---------->non fiction (content)
---------->new (content)
---------->science (content)
---------->sport (content)
--->Books (section)
---------->fiction (category) or books (category) also
---------->non fiction (category)or books (category) also
---------->new (category)or books (category) also
---------->science (category)or books (category) also
---------->sport (category)or books (category) also
This way help you to organize better if you have a lot of contents
--->Contact Us (category)
---------->content
Link - Contact Item
For all the above make some tests to find what is best for you :)
