have you install a pdf viewer in your system or a browser plugin ?

if not then pdf  icon promotes you for download pdf rather than viewing it.

Let me check, maybe acrobat have a problem (i have installed in my PC Acrobat Reader and writer version 5)
I try reinstall these sofwtare in my PC.

We are checking what happend to create our articles to PDF.
We have 3 websites with Elxis, 2 convert perfect to PDF

www.Elizondo.org.mx
www.GenealogiaMolecular.com

but www.Genealogia.org.mx dont convert to PDF articles. we test in same PC,
can you help me?
each website have a diferent Elxis version, www.Genealogia.org.mx have NEMESIS version before this change our readers can convert to PDF our articles.

we are retire funtion to create PDF and RTF form www.Genealogia.org.mx
we receive many email form visitor saying they can see a popup but inside never appear a PDF File.

We left in www.Elizondo.org.mx and www.GenealogiaMolecular.com these function but we are not plannig UpGrade these website.

you are talking for those pdf's which don't appear(see attachments) ...


well i noticed that your servers needs time to render a pdf...  tell your visitors to wait a wile for load before complain...
also ask them to check their browsers.

Maybe you need CHMOD to 777 for /includes/tcpdf folder  :-)

1. With the Updiag tool check your system
2. ONLY at 2008.1 version - Enable the FTP and apply chmod 644 files & 755 to folders.

 what all this about? please explain because i can't understand it.

is there a change after  CHMOD some files to fix a problem that nobody can face on genealogia.org.mx sites?
suppose or accept that some people mite have problem with pdf in these sites above...
what about all as that we dont't have such a problem?

till now all people said that pdf works  ... why to chmod files?

also must notice that if apply chmod 644 files & 755 to folders, although ftp is enabled the sites mite not working as expected.

i suggest to post here what, browser, Os, acrobat versions, etc.
mite be a incompatibility with some users system or browser or acrobat.

We probed one more times and discover this:

Elxis convert articles to PDF in MOZILLA
but this fail with Internet explorer 7

Do you have a idea to correct this?

i confirm that ie7 stacks in 2008.1 works on 2008.x , ie 6 just download file in 2008.1

when this browser will become software for  humans?

they design the ie 8 version... i have hope?

I use IE 8 is much better than IE7 and with some good features but far away from FF.

No, the problem with IE8 is the same like IE7 .
