Title: IOS Map not displaying content listing and menu question
Post by: xmanhattan on September 09, 2008, 20:52:03
Hello all,

I have installed ios map (and key) and I have generated the google xml file as well as the yahoo file.

In the configuration, I have checked the main menu and the top menu, the display settings are default and correct I believe, and published extensions include content and star gallery.

This may be a dumb question but as I am not seeing a sitemap menu button, am I supposed to create a link manually on my menus?

Also, on the component page, it shows extensions such as edir, hotproperty, mtree.
What are these used for as I looked through all the available extensions and did not find them?

Thanks.

1. You should not create google.xml and yahoo files! Delete them now! Sitemap generates them on the fly.
The google.xml is a virtual file (not existing) of Elxis SEO PRO. Just enable SEO PRO and sitemap/elxis will do the rest automatically.

2. You add a link to site as you do with any component. Go to, for example, main menu, click "New", select type of the menu item "component" and in the next page select "Sitemap".

3. EDir, hotproperty and mtree are extesnions for Elxis 2006.x
https://www.elxis.org/extensions/legacy-downloads/elxis-2006-components.html (https://www.elxis.org/extensions/legacy-downloads/elxis-2006-components.html)
Here is the list of all legacy downloads.

We dont recommend the usage of old (2006.x) extensions on Elxis 2008.x

Datahell,

That worked.

I didn't want the older extensions, I was just curious as to what they are.

Thank you for the info.

I'm lost on how to get this IOS Map to show, it is installed using the Bots, but to the life of me I don't see where you would add it to the front end....
