Hi guys,
have someone converted Docman (lastest release) to be compatible with ELXIS 2008 or at least got it woking on ELXIS 2008?
If yes can post a little how to ?

Amigamerlin has some problems with some components like AkoComment , DocMan
We chat in Google Talk and he told me that he need these components for their business work , Unfortunately he said that if he can't to solve his problems , He should go to use another CMS against his wanting ... He said to me that he love Elxis and it's community , But he need these features , So I want all Elxis peoples to help him to solve his problems since he is kind :)

The Elxis team has realese several guides for how to make compatible 3rd parties components / modules / mambot / template with the 2008.
Also the Elxis team has deliver to all of us the Elxis (2006 & 2008), 3rd party components & e.t.c and know they develop the 2008.1 version of Elxis.
We must NOT wait from Elxis team to make it ALL for us for FREE, we use the BEST cms ever made (my opinion !), it is time to spend a few euros for our business needs.

Let me answers...
In order :
1) business: with my "I don't do business" I mean "I don't build site with ELXIS" ... read I don't have to build site to live.
Building site is not my job.
I've seen that many user there using ELXIS for building some other commercial site.
This is not my case and anyway I can do "my business" with tons of other CMS since I've only ONE site.
2) Reason :
1. you can't do it yourelf
Right ... since building site is not my job I'm not a programmer
2. you can't wait for someone else do it for free
Wrong.. I currently have it working from legacy conversion (and you know this very well) but I would like to spread ELXIS in the next future for other sites partners of mine.
Was my opinion that spreading/suggesting ELXIS is the real way to sue to have it growing but maybe I've do a mistake thinking that.
Moreover no one write that I need it right now.
As I wrote the real reason is a little bit different a little bit "hight" then the one you thought.

Let me know too a reason why I should pay for spreading ELXIS !! ... yes ... just for spreading ELXIS ... becuse, as I wrote (and you know very well), I don't need components for myself and for "my business" since I've all I need and all is working.
I don't like to argue anymore spending more time on this poor argument.

My friend Amigamerlin, maybe you have forgotten that some months ago, you came here asking for someone to create -FOR FREE- a template for your needs. And i told you that i can create one for you, as soon as I find free time.
A basic condition (and i told you that in the 1st place) of this manufacture was that... the template would not be 100% a copy of some other site as you wished. I dont work that way. Once again if you remember, you agreed with this condition. And i came up with BizNest template ( http://www.elxis-downloads.com/elxis-templates/front-end/biznest-template.html ) BUT you were not satisfied with this work.
Im sorry but you could have been more polite and comment within a more elegant way, the job i did for you. Those days i thought i was wrong (and you were right) but i couldnt do anything more... as my clients were waiting for me to finish something i was doing for FREE and for FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But after reading all those comments above, im sure that you must change the way you face people around you, if you want them to change the way they look at you (got it?). In any community, in any site, in any team.

Maybe one day Docman will be released for Elxis 2008. But if you can't wait for that day... you have 3 choices.
1) Pay someone to do it for you
2) Don't use it
3) Move to another solution

I don't think that anyone asked you money for no reason. Elxis Team has never asked that also. - You don't pay to use Elxis as ITS FREE. - You don't pay for spreading Elxis, keep that in mind.
It's like saying: Let me know a reason why i should pay for driving a Mercedes, i got for FREE. ::) ::) If someone gave you a car... whould you go out asking and yelling... why he doesn't give you Gasoline for Free also ??? Would you?

Maybe you don't have read with attention ... and I'll repeat myself I'VE WHAT I NEED. NO NEED DOCMAN, AKOCOMMENT, FACILEFORM SINCE I'VE GOT IT FULLY WORKING FROM SITE CONVERSION !!! Then what's the problem ?
The only thing that I really need was the template and I PAYED (FEW EUROS TO BE SINCERE) FOR HAVING IT CONVERTED then why I should ask for those components again ?
Maybe you think I'm fool or stupid .. well sorry but I'm not !!
Is only sincere interest in this Wonderfull CMS.. nothing else, nothing less nothing more from my side .
Spreading, supporting, suggesting ELXIS for me is SUPPORT and came for FREE, from my side!!!

They tried to use it for 1 year ... But now in Elxis 2008 they can't have them anymore , They started to design their site with those components , modules but now ? Should they leave all of them ? I think that Amiga is angry for this !
Also I am a user whose selected Elxis because it had many components ... FacileForms , Gallery , Comment , E-Shop and more
This is not good that in an upgrade to latest version , we loose many of components & add-ons and we can't use them anymore ...
Also we haven't another solution ...
The problem of Amiga is my problem too , maybe is the problem of other users ... We should discuss the facts ... not affectations ... We should criticise our self ...
I want all of you to help the project and try to solve these matters , Don't discuss more , Just do it ... Help another peoples to help our self ... for free or no-free :)

Being egoistic thanks to your job now I've migrated my site (to be precise is not my site, is the site of the company where I work) from ELXIS 2006.4 to ELXIS 2008 having it fully working.
... you don't have wrote me goto "JOBS AD Forum" and write there about.
To be sincere I was ready to pay for the migration ... and when your script arrived for free I thought ..." wow what a wonderfull and strong community" and I wrote this down in one of my post: https://forum.elxis.org/index.php?topic=2001.15
I thought wrongly that all in this community were like you ... with the "good and great helping hands spirit inside" ready to help just for do it and this pushed myself for asking to other community member their help ... the help that the same community member now are shooting back in my face, the help that "... I've asked -FOR FREE-" (just like I was an heretic asking for help) end they gave me as a great donors !!
I've to admit that I've do a big mistake. Thinking that all were like you Farhad was a big mistake.
Ok . I've talked too much too, but this is what come from my heart and I've to write.
