Title: Repository Access
Post by: dnglaze on June 07, 2008, 21:54:54
In my playing around with Elxis, I've been wanting to tweak some things that find themselves in the core of Elxis.  At the same time, I want to be sure that changes I make aren't already done in newer versions of Elxis.  Because of that, I was wondering if Elxis has a publicly accessible repository that I can checkout the latest version of the source.  This would only be for read permissions, so I'm not requesting commit privileges or anything.  I just would like to help with the core and adding new capabilities to Elxis CMS.  I figured, if I could checkout from the main repo, I can post patches if I do something and the Elxis team can decide whether to use it or not.  Let me know.  Thanks.

Only Elxis Community/Elxis Team members can have access to elxis repository. This is because we have problems with third party companies trying to steal Elxis source code and present it as their own project. To become an Elxis Community member you have to prove your willing to help the project, submit software, manuals, translations, and in general help, support and promote Elxis CMS.

We like having people trying to make Elxis better so besides this restriction we will help you as much as we can. We have a plan on what will be implemented in Elxis 2008.1 and what will not, so dont work on areas that are outside our targets right now. What exactly you wish to fix/update? I can send you a package of the latest updates on the specific area you are interested in. Elxis 2008.1 is planned to be release by the end of the summer.
