I've just released a first Beta of EasyComments for use with Elxis
You can download it from
www.elxisportal.de
Menu Entry "Portierungen"

That's great!!! Thank you silas. :D
-
... forgot to say:
tested only with Elxis 2008. (Think would run with 2006 as well)
-
... forgot again:
To protect comments against Spam, you can use the unmodified EasyCaptcha Component. Works on Server with or without GD-Lib enabled. If GD-Lib enabled, then configure EasyCaptcha with Seimage and not with DPaulus (You'll see what I mean in Backend)
Get it from here: Developer Site www.easy-joomla.org
Runs fine with 2008 ;)

Elxis already has capcha feature in it's default distribution. Why use 3P Copponent?

Can you tell me how to activate the integrated Captcha within EasyComments? I have currently no idea. I will have a look on it.

Is it possible to place easy comments file to download to other place than that geman elxis protal which is offline? Standard easy comments unfortunately doesn't work on my site. Thanks.

Elxis 2008.1+ has an integrated commentary system for usage by Elxis core components and by third party components too. In Elxis 2008.1 the comments are implemented for component eBlog. In Elxis 2008.2 content items will have also commentary support. Elxis 2008.2 will be available in 2-3 months and then there will be no need to use a third party component for comments.
