Post by: canton on August 13, 2007, 09:27:40
Just wanted to know if you would need any beta testers for Elxis 2008. If so could you put me on the list for testing it  ;)

We wish we could release Elxis now or give it to everyone to test a beta version. But beleive me we can't. And this is not a matter of the project completion status. Elxis 2008 is almost finished (only the frontend template is being created right now)...

Before the summertime someone had written:
"Did you hear it? September comes Joomla 1.5! Now we will see if Elxis can compete it."

The Elxis from what I see, if not before, it will come out almost simultanously with Joomla'.

What would, the same person, say now?

Congradulations to the team of Elxis that worked and almost has finished the new version, that, from what I have read in the Forum, is very promising, regarding the new possibilities and the long distance between joomla and Elxis.

We will see...

Sorry, I don't understand where I can see the E2008 demo site or, if you like, a testing demo site.

There is no such site for demo use.

There will be an online Elxis 2008 demo site when Elxis is 100% ready. We still have nt prepared the final Elxis 2008. We are adding sample data content right now (Elxis 2008 supports sample data packages, another Elxis' advanced and unique feature...). There is no big need for beta testers as we continiously test Elxis ourselves since the last 7-8 months. There is also an online installation that we also use it for testing purposes. We would like to release Elxis Beta but we have problem with GPL violations, so we wont. You will get it when it will be ready for public release. Believe me this is the best way for both Elxis and the final users. Elxis 2008 is soooo good that it worths waiting for it.

Don't worry, I can understand your position. About what linked, I thank you for your good screenshot news! I've seen that your work is elegant too, as always.
