Title: How to enable Website Statistics feature?
Post by: MaiPhyuPhyuAung on March 06, 2025, 06:28:05
Hello Everyone,

I would like to get the detail analytics of the website. Website is handovered to us from other partner since Jan 2024 to our server. When i check Site Statistics in the back-end panel, it doesn't record since then until now. It shows the error "The collection of statistical data is disabled! Enable statistics in Elxis configuration." I have search the whole website of the back-end and couldn't find that option to run on. Please help me to solve the following things.

1) How to enable feature of Website statistics to record the hit counts again.
2) How do i find Home page hit counts? (I found home page but it doesn't have information for the visitor counts.)

Thank you very much in advance.

1. To enable statistics:
Elxis administration > Site > Setttings > Tab "General" > Statistics = Yes. Click Save on top.

2. Elxis statistics are generic (visits and hits in total, not per page). Elxis saves hits only for articles (content items) : Content > All articles > Column "Hits".
Also in Elxis administration dashboard there is a module at the bottom titled "Latest articles". If you click on "Popular" it will list you the most popular articles and you can also see popularity for the last period.

If you need more advanced statistics I suggest you to use either your web hosting statistics tool (Awstats, Webalizer, etc) or Google services.
