I have a problem that whenever I write something the text extends behind the right menu area and when I use the video it covers the right menu area. I was wondering if someone knew how to correct this.

I've seen your site, and had no doubt what's wrong... I even wrote two tutorials that deal with that matter. Trouble is in your template, no big deal. It could be easily fixed. You should add this line: .content{margin-right:180px}, just after .right{padding: 10px}

OK I'm totally confused I tried to fix it but it's not working. I don't know where to go to edit it. Edited something that brought the right menu to the bottom, but I can't get them to be side by side. Sorry for the trouble. I need to know exactly what I need to fix, if you can.

OK, I saw what happened... But I need few minutes to analyze everything.... In the meanwhile, you might want to try some other template, I'll be back in a minute.

Here's what I've found:
This template is NOT fitting your needs, as it is fixed width template, but you might open your template_css.css and find div.mainbody and add this line: div.mainbody {margin-right:180px}
PS
This is NOT how things are done the right way, but might give you a quick fix.

Oh and here is something simpler: go to Admin Panel>Menus>mainmenu>Home and do the following # Leading: 1
# Intro: 4
Columns: 1
# Links: 4

thanks it worked for everything except the home page and and the flv player is still covering, but I appreciate your help greatly and will change the template as you suggested. Thanks again!!

What you just said means that you should make videos smaller and everything will be OK. As for templates, you may use one of million Joomla/Mambo templates... ;)

Ivan, for your information: Elxis 2007 allows you to load just any single module you wish anywhere. I think this feature will help you better organize your site's appearence.
elxLoadModule('module_name_here');
Developers can also use this function to easily load any module inside components!
There is also one more related feature but we will speak for that in the future.

I'm carefully watching everything that's going on, and to be honest, just can't wait for the 2007 to show up!!! As of 15th this month I start to work for some college as online education manager... needless to say it's going to be based on Elxis. ;) I would like also to contribute some templates for it, as I have decided to giveaway one free template a month at my site. My Elxis Serbia forum is taking it's time to grow...

thanks all for replies I really enjoy this CMS, I tried many and this was the only one that I got up and going within 2 minutes adding content. I've never done any internet work before so it's very interesting to me how easy this is to use, and this has been my only problem so far. No biggie, because every template just about that I tried had something wrong with them anyways.

I finally fixed it, Ivan, if you look at the code there as a newbie I was pretty confused at first and I changed something elsewhere that pretty much didn't let me get the results that I wanted. Just as your first suggestion though, I finally got it. SO thanks again!!!
