Dear Sirs,
I found this problem last year. And now I building another website and found same problem. So i explain there to you. Pls kindly support.
Firstly, i go into " content manager" ---> "articles" .
I establish" rare earth magnet" with one picture. And then i use function of " copy" to get another 2 content" rare earth magnet 2" a and " rare earth magnet 2 2" . Then i go back to front end. I found they have same pictures. Then i go back to backend. And change the picture of " rare earth magnet 2" . But after that , i found there is no pictures for " rare earth magnet " and rare earth magnet 2" .
Can you understand it? pls help.
I have another question.
For these articles, if i want to upload pictures, i have to choose pictures from my local computer. Can I choose pictures from hosting. I want to upload pictures to hostings by ftp firstly, and then choose pictures from hostings.
Hope you will understand the above.

Elxis performs an exact copy. As long as the same image file is assigned to several articles if you delete the file it wont exist any more for the other articles. You think it would be better during copy to also copy the image and rename it? You could also save the image and re-upload it...
Only the main image should be uploaded from your computer. The others (eg those inside the text area or in a gallery) all selected from the media manager. You can upload these images in media/images/.../ folder via FTP if you like.

i agree with you if delete the pictures, it won't exist. But pls i need your attention:
1. I didn't enable to delete the current image.. The current picture should be there.
2. When i change the copy's image, the original should have no change. But in fact, when i change the copy's image, there is no picture for original. It is missing in the front end. I think it is not logical.
