Title: Wordpress To Elxis

Hello,i have a site working on wordpress and i would like to convert it to elxis ! is there any converter or shall i stay with this to heavy script like wordpress !!!

i can"t do it manually because of 3000 articles and 10000 users !!!

That would be interesting if there was such a converter available. Doubt it though.
I would love to do that with a Joomla site.

My guess would be to create a new elxis site, and somehow import the database.
Re entering the content could be done manualy I guess (even if it takes for ages), but what about the site members/users???

I would love to know how this could be achieved as I have just be given a Joomla site to manage, and it is in such a mess, that I would love to create a new one in Elxis.

It can be done with any CMS, it is not hard but requires time which personally I don't have. I don't know if any other user want to try create it. You can get the Elxis converter (https://www.elxis.net/edc/miscellaneous/57.html) and modify it making it having a wordpress or joomla site as source instead of an Elxis 2009.x site. Off course the converter will need many changes but it is a good starting point and we are here to provide assistant.

Just to inform that a Wordpress to Elxis 2009.x and a Joomla to Elxis 2009.x is already available as commercial product  :)
Elxis 4.1 version is in development.
Currently you can convert Wordpress or Joomla to Elxis 2009 and then Elxis 2009 to Elxis 4.1 with the tool available in EDC.
Obviously it convert database and menu structure nothing else.

Very interesting although I would like to see a direct joomla/wordpress to Elxis 4.x conversion.

Not currently . For elxis2009 was developed about 1 year ago since I get a request of migration. Currently we are thinking to convert it for elxis 4.1  since seems to be some interest about .  If you want to see a successfull wordpress to elxis 2009.3 conversion here the link : http://www.lameziainstrada.it  (http://www.lameziainstrada.it)  :)
If you want to give a look at the component I can send it to you ...  :)

As you can see here a lot of custom module were implemented in this site. Many of them are already converted in Elxis 4.1. Main developer of my team is a great Elxis Programmer that you surely know  :)  ;) that develop almost all we need !!
