Title: Nautilus Fasebook Like Plugin problem
Post by: StefanSultanov on October 02, 2013, 16:16:26
Has anyone tried to use that one?
It's first time I try to use it and I need some help understanding the fields.

I got my Facebook ID and the Facebook page ID of the page I trying to promote.
I had the plugin and comments working on another Nautilus website.
Now they don't work.

I wonder if Facebook are not changing stuff again?
Any Ideas on solving this?

Website uses Tiara template

Ok!
The twitter module, the facebook like plugin and the facebook like box module are not working for me.
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or the 3 extensions have something in common.
Checked website on Firefox and Chrome - same. Maybe there is a lag but I doubt it.
There was one time the facebook like box module detected me. I was logged in with the page credentials, so it offered me to switch back to my personal account. I did and it's empty space since then.
I read that iFrame method works better and tried that also. No result, whatsoever.

I'm out of ides.

Hello,
As for:
1. Facebook like plugin try to use the id: 161170670625075
2. Facebook like box you could use iFrame technology. Also verify if you have installed an add-on on which it prevents social media networks. I noticed the the HTML5 version of that extension didn't exist so i updated it to version 1.1. Download it from Elxis.net (https://www.elxis.net/edc/social/9.html)
3. Twitter module: Such an issue has been already reported here (https://forum.elxis.org/index.php?topic=4600.msg50390#msg50390). I hope that i will find free time to redevelop module from scratch.

Thank you for you reply webgift.
Tried all of the advices and none of them work.
There is  only one option left. I have something that blocks the extensions from working.
I have my security level Normal, by default. I never changed it.

Here is a complete list of installed extensions, including the unpublished ones:
Components
   com_content
   com_cpanel
   com_extmanager
   com_Ianguqes
   com_emedia
   com_emenu
   com_search
   com_etranslator
   com_user
   com_wrapper

Plugins
   elink
    video
   contact
   gallery
    autolinks
    youtube
    map
    pagebreak
    nrvoslide
   Fluke
Modules
    mod_ads
    mod_menu
   mod_iosslider
    mod_articles
    mod_articles
   mod_content
    mod_language
   mod_fblikebox
   mod_search
    mod_menu
    mod_login
   mod_twitter
   mod_menu
   mod_mobilefront
   mod_categories
   mod_comments
   mod_whosonline
   mod_opensearch
   mod_gallery
   mod_Lsw_Mew

My best bet will be to try and embed using the custom module. Do you think it will work?
Any Ideas would be helpful, because prefer the plugin and I can not do it by myself.
Waiting for you reply.

Regarding Facebook like box i can tell you for sure that it's working correctly as i have updated and tested 2 days ago. Is there any live URL in order to see what is going on there?

Well maybe I'm doing something wrong. From my experience This was always the case with Elxis.
I don't even know for sure if I have my correct facebook ID. If you can give me a tip on this, it will be greatly appretiated.
Now I tried again with the facebook like box and it's working on my personal website.
However something is wrong with www.lucianomessenjah.com
I don't know if it's the page link or something else.
I would really like to be able to make the facebook plugin work too.
It's not working on both websites.

The generated error is: "The `href` parameter must reference a valid Facebook page, but "www.facebook.com/pages/Luciano-Jahmessenjah" is not a valid Facebook page."
Try this: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Luciano-Jahmessenjah/267254856647541

Unfortunately i haven't used that extension before. In case that there is an iFrame view of extension on the parameter's tab please select it.
Finally you can use an alternative appID which is: 161170670625075
