Hi there !

When I am making a new article, is it possible to make "Subtitle" optional ???

No, sub-title is required as it is also used as meta description.

But you can select not to be displayed in category pages. In article page, if I remember correctly, it is alsways visible.
Sub-title is very good for SEO, this is why we have it as required.
