Title: (SOLVED)Problem with contact form?

Hello Elxis communauty,

I'm always in configuration mode for the website. I have a problem I can't fix. I currently test the contact form and it doesn't work properly. I get no courrriel I tried all parameter configurations available in email. There's nothing did.

I read these post https://forum.elxis.org/index.php?topic=7233.0 ! But from my side there anything that works. I replace the file /component/plugging/contact by all new files but it doesn't work for me.

I use the default setting, the form contact is available on the website and we can fill the fields with no problem. The problem occurs after you submitted the message.

The form directs me to an unknown address like this: http://abcsitewebexample/elxis/contacter-nous.html

The files /elxis not exist in the directory. 
Maybe the problem is caused by the configuration * contact * in mainmenu but I can't confirm that. Because in case Elxis link : default is: elxis/contacter-nous.html

Any person have a idea

The problem come of plugging contact.

I tested this code {contact}emailof@gmail.com{/contact} on each page and the same message 404 error after submit the message is displayed.


If anyboby have a solution I will happy to apply...

I take a change with a full fresh install again just for testing ! And these action solved this problem with new files Elxis4.

Now it works.

After some manipulation :

I enderstand my problem of contact page.  It's come when we change the SEO * contact-us * for example if you change the boxe SEO title as * contacter-nous * Elxis not find the path of the form and you end up with a 404 error.

The lesson never change the SEO box leave at * contact-us *  Change only the box title:  Not the SEO box

When we speak an other language we have the reflex to change the title box and the sametime the seo box..   

voilà if other person have a problem with this. he can see my experience

if u rename the seo link, u must modify the link in the menu too with the new or delete the old link in the menu and create a new.

contact form does not work...if you change the name in the menu - what is the difference  - this works only inside of the page, but does not connect with the contact form...you can put any kind of name in menu such as contact -
I'm tired to test this system...any step, new problem, new step, new problem...

If your installation enviroment is not correct, or you do things wrong you will always get problems.
Contact in elxis 4.x works perfect.
Most probably you have the mail settings in Elxis configuration wrong.
If you wish you can send me username/password for your elxis 4.x administration to take a look.
