I have a website with 2 languages, is it possible when changing language of the site, go to a different domain?
example:
site.ru - Russian lang.
site.ru.com - English lang. (instead site.ru/en/)
and whether to do so? ???
-
Off course it can be done, but I can't see any benefit in that. ???
-
big company - many different domains for all countrys ;D
and little seo ;)

In that case, I would go for site.ru and site.com.

and how it can be done?

Just a little change in language module. You could slightly modify language module in order to redirect to site.com/index.php instead of just index.php. Or to simply add two flags images with respective links, like russian->site.ru, and english->site.com and open links in the same window. If both sites look the same, it's looks like you never left the site.

and it's all :-\

Yes, you would need to create 2 sites in their respective languages before that, and do as I described on both sites. I think it's too much trouble for none or very little SEO. It would be best to create 2 separate sites and landing page where you simply choose which site you want to visit according to selected language.

I want one website on 2 domains with common forum, in English only content.

i dont know if can be done via elxis code, but you can redirect the domain 2 in language 2 and create a module for the languages to put the 2 images linked with both domains-languages (unpublish the mod_languages)
