Can I convert a Mambo site to Elxis ? If yes, how can I do that ?

Hi,

Converting a Mambo website to Elxis is a tedious proccess. Imagine that even upgrading a previous version of a CMS to the latest, one is a hard process that could lead to incompatibilities.

You have to take into account the differences into DB schema, the differences in character encoding and the incompatibilities between components and modules that are in use.

In my opinion, if the original site was not simple enough or the person in command was not willing to be charged for the manhours required for this transision, I would not bother even to discuss it.

The same applies for the transition of a Mambo site to other CMSes.
The facts are the same. Only the target is different...
