i want to translate the eforum , but dont know edite what file to translate? can help me?
-
Hello sawaedy,
You can translate the eforum component by downloading it from here (http://www.elxis-downloads.com/downloads/forums/255.html)
- At the zip file you will find out a folder named languages.
- Create a brand new php file in this folder with the name of language that you are interested to.
- Open english.php language file, copy all the contents and paste to your language file that you have created above.
- Translate each of the language strings and save this file as File encoding : UTF-8 without BOM.
It is highly recommended to use a free php editor like : PsPad (http://www.pspad.com/en/download.php)
After you finished that you can attached this file to this area in order to check and publish it. ;)
Good luck.

You can see the changes that you have already done by visiting your elxis website at URL : your_website.tld/fa/eforum/. Here is the Persian language of eForum Component. These questionnaires that you may see is caused because of a wrong File Encoding that you set by the time of saving the persian.php language file. As i have already mentioned we need a UTF-8 Encoding file Without BOM.

Thank you!

Your translation has wrong encoding!
Please save-it as UTF-8 and re-upload it.

The encoding is wrong again. You must save it as UTF-8.
You have saved it as ANSI, that way only users having Persian keybord can read the file properly. This is why it is important to save it as UTF-8.
Open the file with PSPAD (http://www.pspad.com/)
Then set it as UTF-8 as show in the Bulgarian sample file (sorry my pspad is in Greek).
Save it and re-upload it here.
I attach wrong Persian encoding and correct Bulgarian encoding screenshots.

Yes, it is now correct!
Thank you!
I updated eForum v1.2 release on EDC (http://www.elxis-downloads.com/downloads/forums/255.html) and now the package has the Persian language pre-installed.
