Title: SSL error on IOS reservations
Post by: e-isodos on June 08, 2011, 06:39:13
Hi,
Something very strange,
The website was working great with ssl certificate for 3-4 months until some days ago an error appears at the reservation proccedure.
The following error appears

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

(error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

No updates have been done for a long period

What is wrong?
The website is www.symi-hotel-aliki.gr

IOS Reservations has nothing to do with SSL. SSL is a server addon.
See that the error is generated for any page, not only for IOSR pages, example: https://www.symi-hotel-aliki.gr/el/ (https://www.symi-hotel-aliki.gr/el/)

The problem is that in your apache configuration the default port for SSL (443) is not set. In this case your must set the port 443 in the url which is not practical. The solution is to set the default SSL port on apache. If you search the internet you will find many answers saying this. Contact your web hosting provider.

If the SSL has not expired, ask from your SSL provider to re-issue it!
