Title: iframe and HTML Editor

i tried to insert a google maps embed in an iframe code, but saving the source from the html editor it doesn't show anything also in the editor when i open again.

I suppose that the tag "iframe" is not allowed. right? how to insert? how to allow? i need that in a destination will be possible to show a little map with all the registered hotels.

when having the html editor enabled, the system removes iframe tags (and many others). You need to disable html VYSIWYG editor Global Gonfiguration.

but another question, why are you making it so complicated?  There's a GREAT  "Map Component" in EDC which I helped to create and it has the ability to show a map within each hotel from IOS reservations. ( you can even set a different icon of the marker to curently selected hotel).  If you need more help, let me know.

Thank you!! I don't have realy understand how it works. i will try it later but if in the mean time wants to explain how to insert in each location a map with the hotel i would appreciate.

I will prepare a documentation for MAPS Component, but it will take some 2 weeks or so as I don't have time at the moment.

Just Quick explanation STEP BY STEP (expecting you have  the IOS RES, Maps Component and Maps Module installed):

1. Create a Hotel in IOS Reservation
2. Create a category 'Hotels' in the Maps Component
3. Create a new location in the Maps Component (that means where your hotel is located)
4. Create a map in the Maps Component ( in the tab 'Locations' you will see a location that you created in the step 3.  Drag the location and Drop into left box)
5. Set up all parameters in the Map ( I don't have time to explain now, just test and try what everything you can do)
6. Publish the Maps Module into the page of 'IOS Reservation Component' and select which map to show.
7. When opening a particular hotel the Maps component will recognize the hotel and will center the map into this location
8. Add more locations into the Maps Component if you need.

i'm trying but:

just for information on Chrome doesn't work drag&drop system.
is showed only the title and not the map both in Location as in the Hotel page.

I will try more.

Ok, thanks for reporting it. Meanwhile try drag drop via firefox which works for sure.

Hi,

the developer acampball fiixed the issue in GOOGLE Chrome ( drag & drop) I just tested it and it works OK.

I will ask the developer to publish the updated version on EDC today.

Will let you know afterwards.

The latest version updated on EDC ( google chrome-ready)
