I have just added a contact but when clicking the contact tab in the nav I get this error:
Error
Requested contact not found or you are not allowed to access it.
The url is coming up as domain/component/option,com_contact/task,view/contact_id,1/Itemid,19/
I can see there is a "," after option which should be an "="
how can I change that?
Any help will be much appreciated.

do you have the elxis .htaccess in your elxis dir?
I have seopro enabled and yes I also have the elxis .htaccess

all other urls in site working?
do you have mod_rewrite enabled in apache configuration?
your contact url with seopro should look like this:
domain/contact/contactcategory/mycontact.html

OK sorry for late reply, it took me a while to work out if mod_rewrite was enabled but yes it is.
All other pages come up as expected with the seopro which is like the example you gave but it is only the contact page that does not. I haven't yet added any content to the site so would it be better to just fresh install?
I also tried deleting the contact and re-adding but still shows up as the same
