Title: What's the best way to display books?

Hi, at the moment I have created a menu with sub-menus for different category of books. It's like a book store.

I have been creating a content item per book, as per normal, with a small description of the book photos poping up using the {image} bot.

This takes ages and it's hard for the update process is hard for the user since they have to scan the books, upload using ftp and create the content item for each book. Not a very computer literate user.

I there a better way to do this? Any ideas? Maybe a component I could use?

yes this is a nice way. How did you go about it? Is it possible to enlarge the images of the books?

The customer dont want to enlarge the images.
Most cases, he hot link the images from the amazon.

One content to create the intro page and then 2 links to 2 different content blogs.

I think that a good idea is to use IOS Downloads. It is a great component and you can do a lot of things.

I am sure that if you check well this component you can do it. I have done similar project and works perfect.

General advise

Install an Elxis 2009.2 localy on your PC and check every module, component and bot from EDC (there is big variety already) what each one does and use also your imagination, what combinations you can do with all these and you will find out that with Elxis you can build any kind of site you want. Have also in mind that many customizations you can find on present Forum which is a thesaurus.
