Title: IOSR: rates from 0.00 for hotels with out of date prices
Post by: rulez22 on October 01, 2010, 03:20:01
1)It is showing "prices from 0.00" for hotels with rates in the past.
is it a known bug?

2)Another bug is when you insert extra costs with symbol "&" - its strips everything after that
For example "Bed & breakfast supplement" will become "Bed"

3)Is there a way to put currency symbol in front of the amount? I think it should be somewhere in /components/com_reservations/includes/extend.html.php?

Thanks

1. Mark the room as not-available for that season.
2. Don't use special special characters in titles. Use "and" instead of "&".
3. You have to modify the price format function(s) at:
administrator/components/com_reservations/includes/reservations.class.php

Hi,

just a question about the prices. For any hotels, we have a categories rooms, can we classified and show first "low prices" to "high prices" ?

No, I am sorry. The prices is a very complicated subject as the calculation is done on the fly and differs from hotel to hotel and from room to room.

Hi Ioannis,

Thank's for you answer, i find some solution. The categories rooms is classified by Alphabet like :

Deluxe 280 $
Jacuzzi 150 $
Superior 385 $

So i just put the letter like :

(a) Jacuzzi 150 $
(b) Deluxe 280 $
(c) Superior 385 $

This work, no problem.

Hi,

just a question about the price.

i try to add our promotion on the same period but different night stay. Later on, our system show only the promotion price ???

Sample:
2011-04-16 to 2011-10-31 the regular price for 1 night is 5796 THB

on the same period :
2011-04-16 to 2011-10-31 the promotion price is 4416 for 3 nights stay.

i add already together but later we have this problem below:

Select 1 night, our system not show the price. (normaly, must to show 1 price per night 5796 THB)
Select 3 night it's ok show the promotion price 4416 x 3 = 13248 THB

What i can do to let our customer the choose, 1 Night or 3 Night price ?

I find some solution with (long stay), this work no problem with pourcent %, but i have 5 categories rooms with different prices. On this part, the pourcent % can not be available, this not work because the pourcent % is available for the units price.

Explain 2:

Regular price 1 = 5000
promotion 1 = 4500

regular price 2 = 6000
Promotion 2 = 3000

Etc...

This can be work only with a same promotion price :

Regular price 1 = 5000
promotion 1 = 4500

regular price 2 = 6000
Promotion 2 = 4500

I'm not so sure for that, is just a question. I hope also the message is clear ;)

You have done something custom and also you have done it wrong. IOSR does not work like this. You can not have 2 prices for the same season, this will lead to unexpected results. If you wish to apply a custom price policy overriding the standard room prices you have to do it elsewhere. I am sorry but I don't provide support for modifications of IOSR. I can only send you a related customization I have done for a client that sets custom prices depending on the number of guests. You can use these modifications as example to make your own custom price policy system. If you wish to receive this modifications contact Is Open Source via e-mail.
