Title: web camera on elxis site
Post by: jimmyz on June 17, 2010, 16:00:29
Hi to all of you, friends.

As mentioned in the title, the site is almost done, and it will replace the old non-elxis site in the next days. One more thing to add to the site is a place where the visitor can see live pictures of the demonstrated place.
The place we are talking about, has an Internet connection.

What type of (moving) camera do you suggest?
How would the connection to the hosting server should be done?
What would be the appropriate way to  display the pictures in elxis?

All thoughts are appreciated,
Thanks in advance.

The application which you can use to show live video into Elxis is Mogulus bot (http://www.elxis-downloads.com/downloads/multimedia/43.html) and you must visit http://www.livestream.com/ to see about channels where you must sign up. About the rest (type of camera and connection) i am not in position to answer you.

Such applications do not even touch your server. The camera's widget will connect the visitor to the video provider and the video provider with your computer (like peer-to-peer). So, it is not a matter of Elxis.

Ok, friends, I've heard what I wanted to hear. Thank you so much.
I'll test it the next days!
