Hi,
I installed elxis_2009.2_electra_rev2628 and am setting up user groups. I am trying to set up a very limited backend group that only has access (in administrator area) for frontpage manager, media manager, editing newsflashes, and promoting users but I cannot seem to restrict access to the menu manager. Even with only the administrator-login access set, my test user still has the ability to add/edit/delete menus. The person I am setting this site up for wants to be the only one to be able to edit the layout of the site, with various groups assigned various levels of adding/publishing content. Any help on this would be appreciated.
I was also wondering how to upload media from the front page. I noticed an access control under action -> upload -> files -> images/avatars/all but can't seem to find how to use it. I was hoping that I could use this functionality to give our version of the Author group the ability to upload image files (game screenshots) so that they can do this without having to have access to the administrative area. Once again, any help on this one would also be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

The only thing that can be uploaded from frontend is user avatars and images at eBlog. The other component do not allow this. Only if you use a third party component (like IOS Dowloads for example) you can do that.
