Hi,
I am a newbie on Elxis. Have tried to find the answer to these items but can't. Perhaps someone can give me advice on best way to proceed.
1. I have read about iBrowser - I can't see that in my edit area (no icon etc) - how do I implement/activate etc iBrowser?
2. I want to allow people who are allowed to create new Articles to be able to add images to the articles - e.g. photos relevant to the article. Some CMS allow you to upload an image as part of the article creation - I don't believe this is possible with Elxis ? So I would like advice on the best way to do this. Would I create an image folder per editor and get them to upload images to that folder and then they can be referred to in the article - or is there a simpler way to do this? The ability to upload an attachment that could display in an article would be superb - never mind
hope someone can help
cheers

iBrowser's icon should be visible. Check at TinyMCe bot parameters if you have modified its settings.
Frontend user editing in Elxis is limited for security reasons. Instead of content we have developed eBlog which allows users from frontend to write posts at their personal blog, upload images, add videos, etc. So the functionality you need is at eBlog. Elxis standard content allows you only to add images from external sources.

Hi,
thanks for the reply.
I have checked the tinymce bot config and cant see anywhere in there that mentions iBrowser - so don't see that I could have modified that
Maybe I am not looking at right place in the content submission page - what would the icon look like ? and where positioned
I notice that if you click on add content then it brings up the wysiwyg content editor which seems to allow adding of images onto the article - so I assume these articles with their images could appear on the frontpage - wouldn't need a blog ?
But main part of my question is on how to organise the images/uploads etc and advice on that. It looks like you have to either use a url to point to the image and so we must have to upload the images to a file on the server. My question is mainly around how to upload those and how most people would maintain those folders - would you have one per editor, one overall etc etc. This is quite important to me in my site and I need to make this image upload/management as easy as possible - in postnuke it was quite simple - hope it will be here :-)
cheers

one folder for all users...
if you want to control-limit one folder per user... use elxis e-blog...
